    I still think the critical cause of the sinking was whacking into an iceberg they didn't see.

    I think you are right, Idlehands. Ships sometimes hit icebergs, never Moons.

    The captain had been warned of icebergs but obviously didn't heed the warning and sailed too fast in a foggy night - pride? keep his time table for the much hyped liner?
