One should always take a careful look at anything Greenpeace comes up with. Their founder, a true environmentalist, resigned from Greenpeace years ago, stating that self-interest persons had taken it over.
An oil rig in the North Sea was due to be sunk at the end of it's useful life and Greenpeace bamboozled the media so much it had to be brought ashore and cut up. Heavy metal oxides, poisons, risk to human life from eating fish caught in the area, etc.
It was then found out that Greenpeace had used the wrong data on the rig from the very beginning and had caused immense waste of money but never got sued - 'It Was The Sun Wot Did It' to quote their stupid headlines.
Greenpeace reported on beef from Brazil's Mato Grosso, a major cattle and grain producing region. This is not Amazonian rainforest.
The issue of clear-felling of forest lands is a real one and deserves attention - especially the criminal clearances that have surged in the run up to revisions in Brasil's forest protection code.
