When Argentina gets friendly with Venezuela, it also lets in the door the dogs of Iranian terrorism.

@ 2 Sorry?? In case you can not play the note you commented that Argentina suffered two suicide bombings and the second against the AMIA to commemorate yesterday was the most tragic. Argentina is the only country that formally accuses Iran of attacks. All countries including Israel and the U.S. just make grandiose statements against Iran but none of them ever made a formal complaint or on order capture to Interpol against Iranian officials as if he did Argentina.

As an Argentine you should be somewhat worried that our President is cuddling up to Chávez, whose best friend is president of Iran, responsable for the AMIA atrocity!!!!

@4 Do not defend Chavez nor those presiding. But I can tell you the best we can do with a president like Chavez is not insulated. See what happened to Cuba? Came the Missile Crisis was expelled from the OEA and this measure is only made ensimismara Cuba, creating a dictatorship on the island closed, now do not know how to get out of that alley without losing their national pride. I do not want the same for Venezuela, help for the country to become a full democracy and thrust it toward totalitarianism.

With Bulgaria bombing and AMIA, we will see that as Argentina gets close to Venezuela, it also inter alia adopts Venezuela's friends like Iran. Now almost 6 years since Argentine prosecutors formally charged Iran and Hezbollah and for the Argentine dead and injured, still no justice.

Key is probably not Israel nor the US, but Russia, whose relationship with Iran (as with Syria) is based on Russia's resistance to the West, but also fear of potential Iranian incitement of Russia's Caucasus revolt, as well as a nuclear Iran proximity to Russia's borders.

Just speculating, but intelligence gathered on AMIA over the years by Russia's external intelligence directorate SVR might have allowed President Putin to offer information to Benjamin Netanyahu in their discussions in Jerusalem on 24 June, in return for Israel's military, economic and political cooperation. With this Bulgaria bombing, Netanyahu might now be inclined to negotiate with Putin for further SVR intelligence in return for Israeli cooperation.

According to the US state department website, Argentina is currently selling nuclear technology to Iran through Venezuela who are acting as an interlocutor. It's becomming very clear what type of destiny the Argentines have chosen for themselves. Shame on them really.

Really.......Argentine nuclear technology.....my country is reporting that? Must be the same analysts that sent my country to Iraq for WMD's.....I thought we fired that asshole. I have a hard time believing Argentina has nuclear technology.
And the actual government cable was a concern from two elected officials expressing concern to the State Dept. over unknown sources alledging reported attempts of Iran trying to engage Argentina in that 3 way action. I am by far not defending Argentina, only restating the actual fact.

It is probably true, Captain, we have a cutting edge research and development institute in Bariloche which can provide up to the minute technology.

You obviously didnt hear Turkey neck extolling the virtues of her nuclear technology at the UN Decolonization Committee last month. You know, that committee which was headed up by an esteemed independant observer from 'Syria', whom she is also very friendly with. Its high time you took out the trash in your own back yard, we did it in Libya.

This comment presumably assumes we learnt our nuke tech from the North Koreans. WRONG. Our Instituto Balseiro in Bariloche is world renowned for the quality of its teachers and its graduates.

FYI, Invap, which is associated with the Balseiro Institute is building the SAC series satallites for NASA.

The rhetoric from Netanyahu is terrifying, it seems he's building up to a war with Iran which would be a complete disaster for the region and the world. I'm proud of Cristina that she has been able to so clearly oppose this while also trying to get justice for her countrymen killed 18 years ago; the two things are only in contradiction to more mediocre, imperialist political minds
