The Caribbean countries that depend economically from Venezuela have become a “cruel lobby”, strongly pressing to have Paraguay sanctioned by the Organization of American States claims that country’s representative. Read full article
To Paraguay/ Paraguayan senate,
I've met my share of people who have fled your country, at various times, and if you want to hear the saddest stories in history, then ask me to tell. I preffer to not continue re-telling them, but in doing so I'm doing your country no favours.
It would be ideal if you just give up and let Venezuela get on with it...you know what I'm saying there.
If not, I'm gonna spill my guts mate. And I'm pretty sure some or you (or your fathers) have caused the stories I'm gonna tell.
The Paraguayan government is absolutely correct. Paraguay has been stitched up to benefit Hugo Chavez and take his cheap oil bribes. I didn't think other South American governments would stoop so low, with hindsight of course they would. For future reference it's good to know what sort of duplicitous scum we're dealing with.
Paraguay should allow the USA to build an enormous airbase in their territory. The one thing it has going for it is that it is in a perfect geographical position for American air power to dominate the entire continent.
@1 Got something bigger than Chavez' suppression of democracy, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, truth, or silencing of critics? Or argieland's murder of 30,000 of its own citizens and continuing undemocratic authoritarianism and attempted imperialist colonialism?
Better be good. Let's hear it. Or are you like Chavez? All mouth and no trousers?
no still waiting.....test me miss/mister I'm in the senate of Paraguay...I'm Aussie I've harboured my share of victims from sth America...what's your family name? Tell me!
I've got the tale to curl your toes.....what's your name
So Petrocaribe is the way Chávez is getting cooperation from Caribbean countries in favour of his policies? The secret alliance-building between Argentina and Venezuela - now becoming official in military, economic and political spheres - may have been brewing when Chávez exerted political pressure through Petrocaribe on its small anglophone Commonwealth members, as well as Guyana, to support Argentina's anti-Falklands position at the OAS Summit in Cartagena and later at the OAS General Assembly in Cochabamba. Nothing breeds compliance like the threat of being cut0ff from cheap oil!
@10 So let's get this straight - someone on here tells you their name, if you like the name, then you'll post some tales of horror. You're a bit odd, aren't you?
Hey mate I'm in Austarlia and I have a few names that resinate as tales from Paraguay (it may even all turn out to be false...it's difficult with trauma). and the passing of time and ALL of it's sickening crimes. My open letter was to the senate...still how's about you throw some names at me!!
Feel free to ask how I got these name, but only poetry will unfold. Still 100% true ...I was the listener, it's hear-say/circumstantial, but in OZ that's enough to convict.
You see, there are many cowards males that don't want to disclose their real name, address, and phone number. I am the real strong woman from all the viewers. I don't have nothing to hide or be afraid of. I have released my name, location and phone number. BUT...conQUEEERRRRR IS AFRAID...
HHAHAHAHAHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHA WHAT A WIMP!

I take it that IS the mercopress editorial line, even if its not quite the fact its being stated as, to say the least!
