Disclaimer & comment rulesI had to giggle when I read about this first thing this morning. If i were to guess I'd say it was probably down to the shocking reality that 80% have no concept that there are two Koreas and simply googled the wrong one.

You can't blame them, the country's called the Democratic Republic of Korea, so as everyone knows the North is a Stalinist Dictatorship and the South is a free democracy so clearly the southern flag was needed.
Jul 26th, 2012 - 07:00 am - Link - Report abuse 0It'll be even better if they show a a union flag with a sheep on it every time an Argentine turns up to compete.
Jul 26th, 2012 - 07:14 am - Link - Report abuse 0Blooping is not an accepted sport in the Olympic Games, because of the difficulty of measuring the heights of splashes between the competitors. Perhaps when it can be photographed for comparison by judges, and fairness in scoring is assured, bloopers will be admitted to the Games.

Jul 26th, 2012 - 08:35 am - Link - Report abuse 0- I'm thinking there is a good chance it was intentional.
What a terrible start, having to apologise to the North Koreans, how embarrasing! And this problem of racism in Greece is very big, what with the economic crisis and the rise of fascism, in a way its good at least that with this Olympic farce the issue is getting aired.
Jul 26th, 2012 - 09:48 am - Link - Report abuse 0#3 Why because like the two Koreas they should be united too? =)

Jul 26th, 2012 - 11:10 am - Link - Report abuse 0Both Korea's want to unite.
Would you like to see Korea united under the socialist north or democratic south?
Falkland Islanders have no connection with Argentina and don't want anything to do with you or any other servile Argentinian hypocrite.

I gave up trying to say anything sensible on here quite a while ago.
Jul 26th, 2012 - 01:55 pm - Link - Report abuse 0The NKorean leadership requested Glasgow as a venue for their team so that their athletes wouldn't be seduced by the spoils of western capitalism.
Jul 26th, 2012 - 03:57 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Saw it scrolling across the bottom of the screen on Sky News last night, thought no! don't tell me they put the wrong Korean flag up! priceless!!! and the Gold Medal for Cock ups goes to team BG!!! Love it.

Jul 26th, 2012 - 04:57 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Since technically the allies only ever signed a ceasefire (armistice) with North Korea and not a peace treaty this is an act of continuing the war in a peaceful way.
Jul 26th, 2012 - 05:02 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Oh that is so British. Is the flag wrong? Oh never mind old boy! Any way who cares what the N, Koreans think? They are so stupid that they worship, leadership that keeps them in starvation.

Jul 26th, 2012 - 10:24 pm - Link - Report abuse 0go visit Cuba. ;D. No war, no weapons, no terror threats, no missiles, no crazy shooters, no random strip searches, no perverts, no harassment at the airport, no long waits, no brits, no racism, and beautiful peaceful people everywhere. How can you go wrong? Cuba is the best, London sucks and smells bad. I hear the brits repeat the same things all the time so I figure I join them and see how much you like it. Not cool is it. Maybe talking about Libya will help before saying anything about CFK, remember she doesn't. Kill Muslims children or rapes muslim women nor does she arm terrorists to kill children in lybia, afghanistan, Iraq, Mali, somalia and now Syria.
Everyone just ignore Pirat and he'll GO AWAY!
