Sep 12th, 2012 - 08:52 am - Link - Report abuse 0It was a German plan, they've spent a decade living high on the hog from it and now they've bled southern Europe dry they want to abandon them to their fate. It's the same in Spain. The Catalonia region has forgotten brotherly love and want the poorer areas of Spain to pay for the downturn.
Sep 12th, 2012 - 09:28 am - Link - Report abuse 0The whole debacle and lack of unanimity highlights why the Euro should never have happened in the first place. There is little unity between European nations - they just like to pretend there is.

Sep 14th, 2012 - 12:51 pm - Link - Report abuse 0sorry, but that is quite bullshit, sounds almost like the argentine fairy tales. Germany has had quite hard decade up till 2005, but it has overcome it, because they have restricted their spenditures and wage-growth / production costs over a long time. While all the inocent southern nations like Spain, Portugal, Greece went totally mad, when they were able to lend money with low interests @ GERMANY'S COST. So it's totally the opposite here, Germany is the victim to pay the shit that southern Countries have done.
Such a vote could complicate Merkel's expected bid for a third term a year from now
