He's got a lot on his plate. He's the U.S. President, not the world's president.
Argentines would probably love this project of his adminstration though! http://opengovplatform.org/ Hope they get one!

Ayayay.... there is no such program. The coup in Paraguay proves the real intent of the US, which is to return to the lies, deceptions, death squads, disappearances, and suppression of the Operation Condor. [You may not like Wikipedia, but here it is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Condor] Everyone except the Colorado parties, should be quaking with fear of what the US has in mind for ALL of Latin America. Please, open your eyes.

@2, Um, you realize that reflected were the times? It always surprises me how backwards-obsessed so me Argentinans are, when all the countries that are stably prosperous at the moment are VERY future-forward: Singapore, Switzerland, etc.

The U.S. is more of a region, to me. In the sixties, women had just ben given the right to vote in Alabama, there were two classes of citizens in the South, and nuclear drills were held in elementary school.

Today, young women make more than men in 147 out 150 U.S. cities, a Black man is PRES-O-DENT, and solar and electric car subsidies are rockin!!

During the period of the Condor, the nasty part of U.S. gov was friends with the -- EVEN NASTIER--- parts of YOUR government!! Ok, that happens everywhere.

Until we have true direct democracy, there will always be imbalances to correct.

But, according to recent Freedom of Info Act documents, the U.S. was in favor of an economicslly freer administration, but did not assist in Allende's removal.

Guess where all the food shortages are today?? North Korea, Venezuela, precipitated in each case by socialist expropriation or control of food production. No incentive.
Hundreds of thousands dead in the '90s in N Korea from the resulting famine.
    I care about hungry people.

So: your president does not give press conferences. Start asking for that.

Your gov is not working on an open-source info platform. That might make you feel more secure.

Your Tecnopolis is weird. It's heavy on 'moving' words, not tech. What Argentina may not fully understand is this: the world is no longer patting people on the back for 'literacy'. It rewards NUMERACY.

Kids in stable, comfortable countries are learning coding in the early grades. You can literally cross-reference the credit rating of a country by the numeracy of it's population!

    Good luck

This time it's not USA making dictatorships in Argentina, it's Argentina making dictatorships in Argentina. You dug your own grave with Cristina, now enjoy it!

sigh, I wish he focused more on US economic crisis, but I understand he is trying to gain latino/Hispanics votes, it´s electoral time after all. But he gotta do more than talk about being “friends” with Latam, he really didn´t do much to keep extremist republicans run wild on inmigrants from all places, not just latins and hispanics.

And well, Plan´s like Condor weren´t just circunstantial agreetments between goverments IMO, they were an active militar initiative from US part to keep the URSS out, in a similar way the soviet union did around its territory, by imposing dictatorships systematicaly around the entire continent, when it´s about Foreing Policy US goverment just thinks about protecting it´s economic, political and militar interests, principles or even society dont have much to do with it IMO, during the 60's there was a strong opposition inside US society towards war but that didn´t change their general foreing policy too much.

When it comes to relations between countries sadly interests then to take precedent over general principles not in all cases or in all situations but in enough for it to be a very difficult thing to overcome problems together, especially to international bodies that function in base of the countries cooperation like UN. WE may have to change that quickly because now more than ever, countries economies are extremely related to each other, so this time the crsisis could be a lot worse internationaly than during the Big Crack of 1929. with Globalization now the economy can be a weapon or an instrument for peace, the recent hight prices on food are a good example of this.

And think women should shut up and cook.

heh, this whole issue makes me remember a poem from Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz, a woman poet from Mexico´s colonial times

“Hombres necios que acusais a la mujer sin razón, sin ver que son la ocasión de lo mismo que culpais.”
“Stubborn men who accuse women without reason, without seeing that they are the cause of their blame”

While Mexico is known for being patriarchal oriented, we have always had strong and intellingent women through our history :-)

Obama is a moron, so is mittens. No matter who wins, the problems won't get solved, because the elite who owns both doesn't want the problems to be solved.
