Oct 05th, 2012 - 08:36 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Claims and more claims. . I saw Capriles in an interview yesterday. This man offers empty proposals Example. Promises to be self sufficient in food production. Venezuela does not have the modern ag. technology that it needs. It has been getting this technology by buying it and bartering for it for oil from Argentina, Brazil, and Uruguay. And it takes years to implement.
Oct 05th, 2012 - 09:08 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I hope Venezuela the best on Sunday, whoever they choose.
That is part of the axis of evil.
Oct 05th, 2012 - 09:30 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Except for poor old Pepe, he's constantly being manipulated by our government.
No evil here. Only democraticly elected leaders defending national and regional interests in a new way, thinking out of the box, as it should be.

Hmm, desperate, I guess...
Venezuela did not give any thing away. Its' oil and money has been in exchange for material goods, food, and technology.

Oldest trick in the book, being practised badly by people with new money.
Weak institutions! SA is a young lady! Time for our countries, In the future, the young lady becomes to a beautiful woman. Time...time...time and we will see the pearl. Muchas gracias.

9. What is the famous saying, Brazil the country of the future
Oct 06th, 2012 - 01:28 pm - Link - Report abuse 0'cause you are always a mess in the present. I think SA has had hope of being relevant for 200 yrs. I would bet your great great great great grandchildren will be hoping for the same thing you are....
@5 Any leader can be democratically elected if the electorate has been bought or fixed. We've seen the videos of votes being bought in argieland. La Campora no doubt does a lot of fixing, e.g. threats, property damage, beatings. Democracy in Venezuela? Doesn't exist. Chavez has ruined the country internally. Once a food-exporting country, it is now a food-importing country. Because combat aircraft and warships are more important to Chavez than agricultural machinery and the like. Besides, a poor population is easier to control.

@9 About 500 years to go, I'd say.
@10 No. Together you're twice as thick! Tell us how an inflation rate of 25% is strong. How about getting a naval vessel seized with a US$10 million plus bond being demanded is strong. Tell us how having your whole country being dictated to by a bi-polar, corrupt, fool is strong. Tell us how associating yourself with a dictator who has already ruined one country is strong. As I recall the history, in 1939 Uruguay had honesty and integrity. What happened to them?

Oct 07th, 2012 - 12:28 am - Link - Report abuse 0We're still better off than SA by a long shot, even if we are in a recession, or have debt. Anyway, it'll take any SA country another 50-100 before they get to our average income per capita levels, or state of education which is still amongst the best in the world. And many other points, but I'm not listing them because I am away off now. Bye
