I still cannot comprehend why Serra has any following, let alone enough to take first place in a three-way race, after his betrayal of voters about running for president. I will never understand why people continue tovote against their best interests and rely on proven liars to fill offices. Is it human nature to trust the devil yoo know, ebem when he talks out of both sides of his mouth and lies out of both sides at the same time?

“He was far ahead of his main rival Marcelo Freixo of the left-wing Socialism and Freedom Party”

There the ones who split for the PT because they saw Lula as too right wing, although I like Lula and Dilma its nice to see them still having some clout =) Where were the PT in this race though?

#1 They call him “Serra Palin” don't they?
