All argentine papers in their front pages clearly state the conflict has been lifted.

There are also images (pictures, things to be seen with the eyes), of the empty areas where there were striking members.

This buries and puts to rest both the strike (as TTT had predicted before his untimely demise without any violence or more sinister military implications), and the Mercopress News Agency as a reliable information resource.

If they can't get this right...

Apalling that a username “yankee” (I asume you are North American) would sit and judge others on violence. If I recall, your country is epicenter for unconTROLLed random bloodshed. In Burkina for example, people are trully peaceful, no violence, no gun killings, no labor protests.

And you also switched topics, with as I mentioned yesterday is an indication I am correct, and once again you are not correct.

Looks like the asslips administration is telling the Coast Guard to kiss ass for a measly wage of a 100 bucks a month. With the RG navy at bay in Ghana, that pust the army in an ideal spot to end the slow, painful death to Argentina, if they even cared that is.

Actually I don't see any headlines saying the Unions have accepted the gov't offers. The last one I saw the Union boss said “we laughed in their faces” and that was about 7am this am. So show me some posts where they accepted the gov't offer please
    Or SFU

No we have controlled random bloodshed..
    You are an idiot

I saw a guy from Mendoza was arrested today for filming his 13 year old daughter being raped.
    Any relation?

Protestors vowed to stay until their demands for 7000 Pesos was met

Who would have removed them forcibly, the Army?

And why did Raul Garré resign?

What is the official story here??

The Army has to be thinking....“when is it our turn”. They should strike while they can and the stove is still hot.

    There are no links.

Toby lives in a fantasy land where Argentina is the loveliest, richest, most peaceful place on Earth. He can't figure out why no one else can see it.
That is why he is pretending to be African now, more nicks more support. Too bad for him we all see the farce for what it is. I think these games must work with the undereducated population of Argentina.

“ Too bad for him we all see the farce for what it is. I think these games must work with the undereducated population of Argentina.”

Are you saying that he is paid by the Argentinian government to post false information in support of the Peronists?

    12. Even I don't think MaxiK is dumb enough to hire Toby. Although if MaxiK takes after his mother and speaks no English he may not know the craziness he is posting. I don't see how any of his messages support the Ks. They're just too off the wall.
He is an over educated Rg ( under educated for USA/EU/UK standards) that can't find a job that is worthy of his talents ( or so he thinks). He probably still lives at home, teaches English on the side and hopes and dreams to get out of the filthy backward province. He is a young Think already bitter and regretting being born Argentinian.

@1 They are being paid £83? A MONTH? But in the UK their pay would be around £1,430. Your pay should go up by around 1700%. Mind you, that would be the maximum of the basic scale. Bottom end, let's say £1,000 (7500 ARS) plus allowances.
@4 Some excerpts: “Political freedoms are severely restricted in Burkina Faso, with human rights organizations decrying numerous acts of state-sponsored violence against journalists and other politically active members of society.”
“Attempts to develop an independent press and media in Burkina Faso have been intermittent. In 1998, investigative journalist Norbert Zongo, his brother Ernest, his driver, and another man were assassinated by unknown assailants, and the bodies burned. The crime was never solved.”
“Since the death of Norbert Zongo, several protests regarding the Zongo investigation and treatment of journalists have been prevented or dispersed by government police and security forces.”
“no violence, no gun killings”, eh? So let's see. (1) You're a liar. (2) You're an argie fake employed by CFK. (3) You're a Burkinabe in argieland, lying because of payment or threats, or (4) You're one of the usual argie trolls with a made-up name. Are you TiT? Did you get tired of being called TiT, TiT?

LOL 3# “Somos un gremio fuerte, duro, pero no somos delincuentes”, dijo un vocal del gremio.

“we are not criminals they claim, just strong protesters”
    they just burned 7 cars.

I've seen it happen twice in BA in a “good” neighborhood. A car burns really fast.

Once they burned the whole office building for some reason. No one got arrested. It's normal in BA, every single day there are protests.

The pay scale for the US Coast Guard is the same for the Army, Air Force, Navy and Marines. It is based on rank and time in grade. The top office rank is O8 with 16 years of services makes 12,172 a mopnth, plus allowances.
the E scales are enlisted men, starts at 1516 a month plus allowances.

    NiCe, PoPpY!
Maybe there was an 'inflation' raise on the starting wage?

Inflation is 1.7 % this year, it fits.

It's SO COOL how egalitarian the U.S. mil is. I didn't know until today.

Thanks for fixing the top figure, I had divided by 12 from this: article: http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/news/military/story/2012-01-26/military-officers-pensions/52939598/1

So now even MORE equal :]

The pay is very straight across the board, I served in the 70's. That scale is the base pay. If you have a family, you get an additional food allowance, you can live in free base housing or off base and get a housing allowance, with a family that is. The Coast Guard is a little different. They do not have large bases like the other forces, so if you are not berthed in a ship, they house you in private housing. Most Coast Guard bases are not much more than a large building at a port, they they do have large bases where they have air stations.

Now that asslips avoided a coup.....for now, Seems anothe protest/strike is about to begin.....bus drivers. Man O man, does it never end there? Children taking over schools....CTA demanding better wages and calling for a national strike....uniform services work stoppages because they cut 70% wages, grabage collectors went on strike, asslips expropriates an oil company and runs it into the ground for lack of investment funds, debt collectors takes possession of a naval training vessel, bond prices plunge becuase chaco defualted by paying international bonds in pesos......where does it end! With a rope around her ankles hanging our the balconey of La Casa Rosa. Everything that asslips touched she has turned to trash. Her ego is the “Death of a Nation”
