The melting of Argentine President Cristina Fernandez, CFK, positive image is increasing and has fallen to 37%, while the mayor of Buenos Aires City is increasingly occupying the position of head of the opposition, according to comments from Sergio Berensztein, head of Poliarquía one of the most respected pollsters in Buenos Aires. Don’t ya believe me ???
See below:

More of the same Neo liberal press’s news is more wishes than realities.
Macri is completely useless, no ideas, no power, no charisma, no management.
Mister Binner is the one!
Maybe they just mean that CFK is melting, I mean she is about 80% plastic, isn't she?

Oct 22nd, 2012 - 08:35 am - Link - Report abuse 0I guess a blackout a week in Buenos Aires is not a big thing for mercopress nor macri, but does mercopress really want Macri's incompetence to rule all of Argentina? This kind of report must scare the living lights literally out of every Argentine, let's this news sink into Argentine brains for a while and in less than a month CFK image will climb to an all new height. I wonder if mercopress forgot macri doesn't even pay the electricity bill in BS. AS. O well, se la vi.
If you keep doing what you always done you always get the same results.
We love CFK and we really hope we can vote for her again next election regardless of the opinion of outsiders.

@1 What you forget is that the 37% comes from INDEC. And we all know what their figures are like! Call it inflation.

#6. We agree on you statement that opinion of outsiders is not important. What I would remind you however is that the opinion of your fellow countrymen with the right to vote DOES. You can always manipulate elections and stuff ballot boxes but there comes a point where even that will not work. Right now, CFK has lost many supporters, including those representing the unions. Let's hope she comes up with another strategy/show such as another health issue or... Threat against national security... Perhaps invade Paraguay and free you neighbors from a corrupt government... The idea of good governance path does not seem practical, unless she resigns due to health issues and devotes her remaining life in a Venezula convent as a nun...

They will change the World !!!!
They are not able, and not willing, to discuss about anything face to face with someone who have certain knowledge (it doesn't matter the field of knowledge) basically because they don't like to be contradicted.

Oct 22nd, 2012 - 09:07 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I believe it. I had to visit Buenos Aires four times between October 2011 and July 2012 . It was incredible to note how her popularity had collapsed in that time frame . Poor people , they are stuck with her for some more years !
Oct 22nd, 2012 - 09:11 pm - Link - Report abuse 022@ no, it means the prices in a 3-world country like Argentina are in the same level as in a 1-world country like USA. The wages are about 4 times higher in NY than in BA. I've been in both places, you can't really compare them. The inflation is eating all the people's savings.

Oct 23rd, 2012 - 01:29 am - Link - Report abuse 0Isn't this why B A was caught in a transit strike - CFK put the money squeeze on BA to discredit Macri and prevent him from running the city properly?

Cristina, the Peronist, is far closer to a Nazi than Macri. Let's say that Cristina's looks are beguiling. Guile, she full of it !!
You are typical of her adoring La Campora followers. You praise her looks, yet you know there is no substance behind them.
BTW, she is revealing her incompetence more every day, and beneath the troweled on makeup, CFK is an old crone of 60.
Troy, you may not have read it, but BK said they should change the constitution and if not, there are easy ways around it. That is his idea of democracy.

Of course its what's inside that counts, thats why I concentrated not just on her beauty but her charm and humour. As for Macri, his purely physical features are actually good, its his stare that makes him look like the Nazi from central casting...

yes, she dissembles well, and is charmingly dismissive while she takes from the people and advocates war on innocents.
Beauty you are one blind fucker. I've seen remnants in a toilet bowl that looked better than her. What twaddle.
Economic blockade, propaganda attacks, military harrasment of Falklands licences fishermen, political posturing at the UN, what a beautiful person this CFK is.
Your (Argentina's) own Defense Minister has stated that without British Military presence, Argentina would invade the Falklands and take them.
We - as in, BK is British ?? What a laugh!
However, we both know that if CFK honestly wants to negotiate for Falklands sovereignty, she needs to speak to the Falklanders themselves.
Britain has clearly and publically stated that and the Falklanders have invited her to negotiate.
CFK ignores this.
In short, you are lying and using this forum to spread misinformation.
#45 I could reply to and refute each point, but I'd rather just ask this (which is more on topic for this thread anyway): Would the right wing nationalist Macri be more or less reasonable in his approach to the Falklands?!
Oct 29th, 2012 - 12:24 am - Link - Report abuse 0The government in charge of all argentine affairs would be speaking with the Falkland Islanders

We know that's old ground, argued many times before, but you keep repeating it...
However, as you say, Macri as a right-wing nationalist, is more on-topic.
CFK as a Fascist Populist, Nationalist needs the Falklands as a distraction for the masses as her house of cards economy collapses.
Macri needs no such 'Bread and Circuses' tactics to govern. He can point to CFK and the Peronists for the economic and credit fiascos of Argentina's government.
#47 Macri needs no such 'Bread and Circuses' tactics to govern
Oct 29th, 2012 - 09:45 am - Link - Report abuse 0Aye right! The last time someone with Macri's politics was in charge was around 1982...
Troy don't get pulled into BK's BS. He is a Scottish communist party member that has never even been to Argentina to realistically even speak of his love of a place he has never seen first hand.
Oct 29th, 2012 - 11:46 am - Link - Report abuse 0I see you have no response to my warnings of the threat a right wing militarist Argentine president would pose to the Falklands. I support Cristina for left wing and internationalist reasons primarily, but also think it would be in Britain's own interests to negotiate with her rather than pushing the candidacy of a right wing nationalist who really could do all the things people on here falsely accuse her of
Oct 29th, 2012 - 12:52 pm - Link - Report abuse 0You have no credibility to warn of what you label as a right wing and the impact it would have on the sovereignty of the Falklands.

BK, please explain the above statement.
CFK has already pledged to take the Falklands for Argentina.
Macri is not the head of a military junta.
BK thinks anyone not a populist peronist, is part of a military right wing junta. As I said Troy.....he has not credibility.

I am kind of interested in hearing his reasoning. I'm sure he can explain how CFK is better for Argentina.
I thought I had very clearly responded - As a populist, only CFK needs the distraction of a temptingly close outside enemy to keep people's minds off of their economic woes.
Macri can just blame CFK for Argentina's troubles.
BK, if I don't hear a response, I'll assume you don't know...
#54 No, I don't think that, but Macri would be the most right wing Argentine leader since Galtieri, to the right even of Menem's Thatcherite Peronists and the Radical Presidents. I'm not really interested in Peronism, it seems a catch all with everyone from conservatives to the real radicals, Cristina and her supporters, under its umbrella. I support leftists both from a Peronist and non-Peronist background and hope for a revival of Nestor's transversal project
Oct 29th, 2012 - 05:04 pm - Link - Report abuse 0#55 If you think persecuting Cristina would be enough to distract the people and win their support for an attack on their own interests, you've got another thing coming. Cristina like all Argentine leaders is persuing the Falkland/Malvinas issue, and rightly so for as long as we refuse even to negotiate about it, but is a progressive patriot with the people's welfare as her priority. Macri, representing the rich, would need some really extreme nationalist posturing to distract the people from his adverse politics - and even then it wouldn't work in this age of the continental left. Which is the same reason I don't see macri getting elected in the first place!
@56 BK

Well, BK, you are trying to wriggle around the issue.
Yes, there is a history of coveting and demonising The Falklands.
The Peronists have done well, garnering public support by dangling the Falklands in front of the people - a great tool for a populist/nationalist government.
The military junta took up the cause as well, when the economy was nose-diving.
A very effective distraction and a swelling of nationalism.
Obviously, a lesson not lost on CFK and her Peronists. All this sabre-rattling has stepped up as her own government turned the economy into a shambles.
Macri can point at CFK as the enemy instead.
The people's welfare her priority
Macri representing the rich
Hardly!
CFK is pocketing pensions, and slashing the wages of the middle class. The very poor will lose even more jobs as the economy crashes under her stewardship. The 27% inflation is most devastating on the lowest income earners, and gov't handouts are not keeping pace (6 pesos a day for food? Sure).
Macri is championing the unions (working classes) and other wage earners that CFK is squeezing.
CFK is not a distraction, she is a real enemy of the people.
#57 she is a real enemy of the people
