Chilean voters punished the political system with a whooping 60% abstention, and President Sebastián Piñera’s conservative bloc, in municipal elections Sunday, which could be paving the way for the comeback of the left-wing coalition in next year’s presidential ballot. Read full article

    @1. Deeply cynical it would seem. I doubt that statement, and as the year end 2013 draws ever closer to a renewal of offshore drilling leading to oil production in 2017, there will be numerous other flight options available to the Falkland Islands.

    You must be kidding... they had 3 years so far (and it hasn't worked bad, big growth, low inflation and low unemployment), the left had almost 20 years before that...
