If Timerman has 'refused any form of dialogue' then the UN should do nothing but ignore Argentina. If they do not recognise the people of the Falkland Islands or their Government, then all talks MUST be scrapped immediately.

Timerman is doing this only for political and Argentine public attention.

“Your Government says that all it wishes to do is to talk. Yet when the opportunity arises, you refuse”.

Suck it up Laughing boy Timerman!!!! You are a fully fledged, 4 berth, sea-going kn*b!!

I would like to be the first to congratulate you, your trip to the UK has been a success. By the time you leave, the whole world will know without a question of doubt how your country tries to hold the Falkland Islanders under your boot.

Congratulations again for making a complete kn*b out of yourself. What little support you had for your lost cause has surely evaporated now you have shown yourself to an uneducated idiot.

Well done, well done I say!!! To man, the whole of Europe would now not p*ss you you if you were on fire, they can not wait for you to f**k off back to Argentina and crawl back up KFC's arseh*le where you belong

who do you think will shoot him dead first?? The SAS or MOSSAD?

LOL. The man's a fucking moron!

”Lord Davies, the turncoat Tory who served as a defence minister in the Brown government, asked if the Argentines might pursue their territorial claim in the international court at the Hague. Timerman replied that his government will not be doing so because the British government is not serious about entering arbitration. His evidence for this is that the British government rejected an arbitration appeal in 1884 (in fact, he meant 1888). This is not the strongest argument, particularly from someone who professed determination not to talk about the past“

”The word ‘irony’ could not contain the multitude of speciousness issuing from Senor Timerman’s mouth. He was, however, barely warmed up. Timerman began to speak at length about Britain’s colonial history and the need to move on. There was no mention of Argentina’s origins and the systematic eradication of its indigenous peoples (so clearly documented by Matthew Parris a few weeks ago). Timerman then drew comparison between the Falkland islanders and settlers in the West Bank by enlightening his audience of the British government’s hypocrisy of condemning Israeli settlements while continuing to support the islanders. ‘It does not make any sense,’ he said excitedly, echoing my very thoughts”

Well, enough said, here it is, Argentina shows that it has very little interest in the PEOPLE of the Falklands. CFK is a MALVINISTA President, she has said this herself, and this is her goal. Nevermind that the supermarket shelves in her country will not stock fast enough, price controls do not reduce inflation, price controls will only cause shortages. But the Falklands issue is a smokescreen and the smokescreen will continue.

If he thinks Argentina will control the Falklands in a mere 20 years time, then why bother talking at all.

We can be rude or polite,
But the fact remains, that if they are not willing to fight for them,
    Then they can whistle Dixie,

The islands will remain British until they decide otherwise,

    Until then
They can threaten, abuse, intimidate, and cry, and sob, but to no avail.

Argentina has now become a joke state run by comedians and clowns,
And the free world is queuing up to see them.

Silly cow is using the same ploy as the junta, using the islands for distraction. I am beginning to think if they had had not emasculated their armed forces, because they could not trust them not to mount another coup. They may have resorted to armed aggression again.

In less than 20 years Argentina will be under UN control. It will be just like Cyprus or Korea. Once again Argentina is sinking:-

    It is run by loonies.
It is financially out of control
Large swathes of the population are impoverished living on just a few $ a day
It is alienating country after country including its own colonial roots - Italy and Spain
It is making itself look stupid by perpetually spouting hyperbole
It is internally disunited with provinces about to disconnect from a lunatic government
It's richest citizens cannot afford to go abroad because their peso wealth is being fast eroded.
Ambitious people are leaving in droves
Foreign policy is highlighting the plight of the indiginous Indians
Murders and crime are escalating wildly
    Corruption is rife
The armed forces are starved of equipment with low morale
The Mafia are growing in power and usurping the government
The government is meanwhile topping up their bank accounts in Leichtenstien ready to desert the sinking ship

It will self destruct and collapse into chaos within 5 years. After that UN forces from other SA nations will step in to restore order

The UN will have to intervene soon to prevent another tragedy

Timerman is a fool and most Argentine people know this. He's even managed to upstage his own president & knowing how psychotic she can be, that's a very dangerous mistake to make.

Every time he opens his mouth to refuse talks, he makes the Falkland Islanders stronger.

Next time Argentina goes to the United Nations & claims that Britain is refusing talks, the Islanders & the foreign office can point out that Argentina was offered talks, but refused them.

Argentina is trying to have their cake and eat it.

How can Argentina get anywhere if they refuse to discuss anything with the Islanders?!

The simple truth is that Argentina knows that recognising the Islanders means recognising their rights. Which includes the right to Self Determination.

Ban Ki-moon is well aware that the Islanders must decide their own future. He and the other UN members will soon tire of Argentina's behaviour if they refuse to have discussions with the people who live on the Islands.

Lets face it, this behaviour will not change, because if it did, then CFK would lose face (it would melt!) and everyone outside Argentina would ask why they changed their position.

What will happen is that the oil & gas will start to be extracted, the Islanders will get increasingly rich. The Argentines will look on with envy and growing frustration, but be unable to do anything about it.

They might try to sell fishing licenses for the Falklands EEZ because they depleted their own fish stocks & the illegal boats will be arrested and confiscated.

I doubt that Argentina or Venezuela will try to site oil rigs in the Falklands EEZ though, because if they did, they could lose a very expensive exploration rig, which would only make the Falkland Islands capable of doing their own drilling.

Timerman will continue lying to the UN & claiming that Britain refuses to talk. Every word he utters turns people against Argentina. They will lose the diplomatic battle by acting like truculent children. They are fools.

Next week Hector Timerman will present Argentina's claim at the UN for the moon, according to Timerman the history books as we know them are false propaganda written by imperialists. It was Argentina that landed on the moon first, with its astronauts being forcibly removed in 1969, Timerman is set to argue that the moon reflects onto Argentina's continental shelf thus forming an integral part of Argentina.

I suggest talking to the islanders.

    The agenda may be:
    1) When you recognize the sovereignty Argentina. Maximum 20 years
    2) How will the way the islanders asked apologies on behalf of the crown, having usurped Argentine territory in imperial times.
    3) As the islanders make a collection, to return to Argentina's natural resources are stolen and taken to UK.
    4) What will be the way back to the motherland.

He turns up to the C24, who actually allow him to present, and just rants on like any man would who has discovered that he's abandoned his family and got the passport of one of the worst countries in the world.

Watching him with all his loneliness and his treachery stained face is quite amusing for people.

I have criticised the MLAs in the past for not knowing their history and taking the fight to the Argentines when they spout their usual unchallenged crap.

Looks like the MLAs are now chasing the Argies like a heat seeking missile and now the tide of misguided information against them has turned.

    BRING ON THE REFERENDUM!!!!!!!!!!

Timmerman, rounded on by the British MPs he stupidly thought would believe his colonial crap, will be seen by the world as a desperate man.

They wanted dialogue and they've refused it.

Timmerman a so called powerful foreign minister, sh1t his pants just because an islander handed him a letter. Argentina's true national flag displayed clearly by this hollow man, scared to death by people he is trying to bully- not Blue and white but the real national flag of Argentina A BIG WHITE SURRENDER MONKEY FLAG.

Timmerman surrenders to two Falkland Islanders. That's what bullies deserve, to be hounded by those they try to bully, OK to hide under the skirts of Venuezuela, Syria Iran and all their fascist chums, but when the resistence shows up, Timmerman runs like the surrender monkey he is.

    Pathetic, unstatesman like clown.

The d1ckhead also does not realise that if no country in the world recognised the Falkland Islands Government, then no one would buy fishing licences , oil propsecting licences or trade with the Islands.

Timmerman next at the UN will have an answer from the world when he asks for talks that he has turned down, and why he does not recognise the UN Charter.

Argentina, you have been made to look stupid by your foreign minister.

You can't even walk the streets after dark for fear of being murdered and robbed. The Mafia run your country. You are morally and economically bankrupt. Spain and Italy hate you for lying cheating stealing and reneging on your debts. Moreover, you are blind, deaf, thick morons who can't knock the skin off a rice pudding.
Don't worry about the UK, the whole world saw how nice, friendly and generous we are at the Olympics. UK 29 golds, Argentina 1 ! I am surprised you never got more medals for running, you seem very good at it, especially when you invade a peaceful island with 6500 useless troops.

XAV - What and how are you going to deny shipping coming to the Islands? You had a tray at blackimailing cruise liners into dropping the Falklands from their list and calling just at Arg ports this summer-
    Has it worked?
Care to list the number of port calls the Falklands has lost due to political pressure? - it was a mere 3 in the end.

Care to list the number of Argentine port calls so far cancelled by cruise lines who refuse to be threatened by a bunch of nutters? About 10 already that I know of.
Oh- and 2 lines have formally warned Buenos Aires that if the fuss continues- then in 2013-14 summer they will operate out of Montevideo or Brazil instead - those 2 lines will amount to over45 port calls lost between them if it goes ahead.

    Who is winning so far?

And if you refuse the Lan overflight- then do tell me how will your veterans and next of Kin families get to the Islands to visit graves and battlefields to lay their mental ghosts and seek closure to their trouble minds?

”1) No vessel flying the Argentine Sea may write to the islands and not the contrary.”

Your aggression toward passengers on cruise ships has caused 10 to cancel Argentine ports and 3 to cancel Stanley, with the prospect of more ships chosing Uruguay or Chile over Argentina and continuing to call in on the FI. Congratulations for all the money that has lost you!!! Celebrate defeat as Argentina is good at doing!!

    2) No plane that addresses the islands can use the airspace of Argentina, nor the contrary.
Then your veterans won't be able to visit the war graves of their relativesand the FI will arrange flights from St Helena Africa or across the Antarctic from another country, and Chile will loose £millions (note that was millions of £s not worthless pesos).

Argentina has lost £millions in its stupid Deal or No deal losing out from not providing services to the FI oil industry which other countries have been only too happy to provide to their financial betterment.

There used to be far more diverse views expressed on Falklands stories than there have been in the last few weeks.

And meanwhile in the real world...

More bad news from UK, the idiots will have to borrow more than expected for this year around 64bn Pounds or 86bn USD.

No enough with that the UK CaMoron OM plans to introduce more cuts...

Were it not for the fact that you are not even up to being a complete idiot I would recommend that you read Origin of Species for yourself.

The problem is of course, even written in Espanol it would be way over your comprehension level, being, as you are, at the level of a MONKEY.

My apologies to all the monkeys.

    @143 José M,
Do you really think that you are human? l wonder sometimes.
    But are you humane?
Killing 30,000 of your OWN people, makes me doubt this.
And if you read the Bible(do you?, l do)you will realise that especially the Old Testament is a very bloodthirsty book.
    An example:-
“And Joshua and his men took the city, and put everyone in it to the sword. Men, women & children, & even the animals”.
“Then they destroyed & burnt the city & there remains not one stone upon the other to this day.”
Hardly a book of Peace. The Bible was written by men, not God.
l do not know whether we descended from an apelike creature or not.
But if we did, then that include you Argentines as well.
You are not something special, even though many of you think you are!
Just ask your neighbours what they think of you! lol.
    @150 DanyBerger,
    That also includes you katoffelkopf!
