It's not a bad airline, it was making profits when BA was making cuts, experiencing strikes and reporting £400m losses. Unfortunately the Spanish economy has tanked leading to a massive drop in demand and, as always, the trade unions believe everyone owes them a living.

It is a TERRIBLE airline, like most European carriers, and it has awful service. BA is slightly better, but still, they are Brits. British Caledonian was so much better. Pity they didn't make it!

Well, I told you the unions and the cabin crew would buckle against Wllie.

Even this will probably not be enough and more cuts will be needed as Spain continues its downward death spiral, piloted as it is by a government bereft of any ideas other than attempt to cause trouble for Gibraltar, shades of the other Spaniards in AR.

I would imagine the 'assume the crash position' has already been given.

I have no idea where @2 RICO gets his experience from but I have flown Iberia a number of times in the last three years and the service was AWFUL. The cabin crew sat in their rest area and left the passengers to get what they could in the way of drinks during the night-time.

When another carrier became available on the route I dropped this bunch like a hot potato and I won’t be going back any time soon.

I always remember Iberia introduced “no smoking” in economy class back in the '80s - the left hand side of the plane was “no smoking” and the right hand side “smoking”!
