They covet the Falklands now there is oil and gas and seem intent on harrasing the small population. I am a bit confused, is he trying to identify and shame them and the Argentinean government or what?

Mar 20th, 2013 - 05:13 pm - Link - Report abuse 0& This Pope's Catholicism is a little nicer too than I usually give it credit fot.
The Pope's commitment to the protection of the environment is generally good, but how will it fare in respect to specifics?.......
Mar 20th, 2013 - 07:32 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Will rainforests and grasslands be preferred over crops and wood-products?
Will oil be left un-won, and EEZs be declared un-Pope-like?
Will 'alternative' energy see rivers hydroelectrically dammed in tribal areas?
Will the Pope declare unlawful the use of fossil fuels to protect the world from anthropogenic global climate change?
Will the Pope protect Antarctica from 'scientific'/military settlements?
Will he ban tourism from sensitive areas?
No, his statements say God and the Pope supports 'Good Causes', but little else.
He stands less chance than did Chico Mendes, and it killed him.
