Argentina industrial production down in March and in first quarter compared to 2012

Argentina’s industrial output registered a 0.3% drop in March year-on-year, according to Indec the official statistics bureau. The report stated that the manufacturing activity climbed 1.5% compared to February and dropped 0.4% annually in the first three months. Read full article

    Quoting percentages year on year does not help anyone understand the real situation.

    On the face of it the auto sector improvement by 18.4% looks stupendous BUT, and there is usually a 'but' with argie figures, it makes no reference to the fact that the auto industry have been on their knees for 12 months and this is chickenfeed to what they need to regain profitability.

    Well this is interesting....... for the first time Indec is admitting that industrial production is down & not using the Lorenzino factor of manipulation

    Can´t wait for Aprils results now that YPF oil refining in La Plata has been shut down for a month
