Federal court strikes major setback for Cristina Fernandez judicial reform

Argentine Federal Judge María Servini de Cubría with competence over electoral affairs ruled that the Counsel of Magistrates reform law recently passed by Congress is unconstitutional. Her decision comes hours away from the deadline to apply for electoral alliances. Read full article

    The prospect of having a government appointed judiciary is terrifying. Have you actually read some of the documents drafted by supposed students of advanced law?

    They are laden with redundancies, and seem to have been written by a 14 year old. Could you imagine what the country would look like if these people, especially CFK appointees, had any power at all?

    Arturo Umberto Illia started his profesional career as a rural physician and reached the presidency of Argentina. He was removed by a military coup. He was an example of honesty and was the next to last president of Argentina who belonged to the Freemasonry. To be proud of him.
