Looks like TMBOA is about to “INDEC” the Supreme Court.

Abal Medina concluded saying that “the corporative elites are forcing themselves to maintain in power, even at the behest of hurting the democratic institutions”.

Will we be saying this of TMBOA next year?

I'm a happy bunny today because I'm on my way home this afternoon after 2 weeks in the UK where I attended some wonderful events and meetings but it's time to see the Bloggs family again on the weekend.

Can anyone name a country where the highest court's judges are elected by popular vote?

This law change wasn't in the manifesto for the last presidential elections in 2011, and has been sneaked in to consolidate there power, especially as they want to have the law courts under their control. Also, this is a law that is altering the Constitution, and as such surely should be put to a referendum.

They're all mad and or deluded. The elections in October will give them an idea of what the people really think now.

““Argentines will be able to democratically vote for all political branches sooner rather than later.”..
the ck-gang is a pseudo-democracy of dictatorships like russia, north corea, Byelorussia, china and other so called ”democracies”. typically for the ck-gang to avoid trials for their ruling in the last years with corruption and pressures against newspapers.

    @4

They know full well the elections in October are going to be a real test. Theyve recently proposed to increase child benefit payments by 35 PER CENT amongst other things when theres no money left to pay them and fuel imports have gone up 40%!! Theyll just keep printing more money in Boudou's printing press and denying that inflation is a serious problem - just to enable them to scrape through the October elections. Even if they maintain majority in congress in October how they will deal with the fallout of a collapsing economy is anyone's guess. But then not thinking about tomorrow and the consequences is an Argentine trait.

Why don't we have a vote to see how many people want her to resign immediately?

I'm sure the majority would go for it. As time goes on, the Ks will run out of money to bribe the vagos with.

400th anniversary of Cordoba University? I thought Argentina was founded in the 1845. The Ameridians and Qom people must be a superior race, no wonder they were victims of genocide.

Cordoba university was founded by the Spanish. The indigenous took no part in it.They live by a different form of knowledge, which if corrupted is just as useless as the form of knowledge you corrupt.Never mind, its hardly important in the totality of things.

@12 What is today Argentina was a Spanish colony for about 200 years before it existed.

Oxford University is so ancient that it does not have an official founding year; HOWEVER there are records of teaching there from 1096 making it the oldest English speaking university in the world at 917 years.

The oldest university is recognised as Bologna, now in Italy at 1088 and Cambridge University is the third oldest at 1209.

Cordoba University claims a founding date of 1613, but given that Argentina did not exist until 1816 (but backdated it to 1810 in true INDEC fashion) it is difficult to see what all the screaming is all about by TMBOA.

Cordoba is one of the oldest university's in South America.
Founded in 1613 by monks, this year is the 400th year since its founding and is,therefore,a cause for celebration which the president acknowledged.

@16 you do realise the Spanish colonised South America since long before Argentina existed, don't you? So a 400 year old university in Argentina is plausible. Of course, this has nothing to do with CFK's insanity.

    Yes, I do thank you.

The date of 22 April 1500 for Brasil sticks in my mind because 22 April happens to be my birthdate.

Seems a moving feast as to the date when what eventually will become Argentina that far south.

“When somebody was telling me yesterday that they were sad, I told them to leave sadness for a movie or a soap opera. Us militants need to be happy and ready for the next battle, because the only battle you lose is the one you don’t fight and we will keep fighting,”

Brilliant advice comrade, la lutta continua =) Seems awfully “convenient” to me that the judges can just rule any attempt to hold them to account as “unconstitutional”; well constitutions change and in a democracy no-one, not even elitist judges, should be above the law. Looking forward to the next stage in Cristina's stuggle; from the quote above its clear she's a fighter and an activist, not the passive corrupt ruler these judges would no doubt be much more comfortable to live with!
