    I particularly like this bit:

    “Besides it was a tough twelve months with the injunction of the ARA Libertad in Ghana; the poor performance of the Navy and the total failure of this year’s Antarctic campaign, among other issues.”

    So she's removed one bunch of inept corrupt officials and replaced them with another bunch of inept corrupt officials.

    Juan you are correct, just rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic as it slowly sinks below the waves.

    Or.....perhaps she got wind of some grumbling in the military and she is only postponing her ultimate demise. I can't imagine there are too many in Argentina that support her outside of the one's that are part of her plan to rape and delete the people and country for person gain.

    “In a surprise move Argentine President Cristina Fernández replaced the top heads of the armed forces...”

    “The changes don’t come as a surprise...”

    I think Mercopress should take its editing more seriously!!!!!!!

    As Juan Gabriel says, “rearranging the deck chairs”.

    At least she has replaced one military type with another military type. There was a risk that she felt so threatened by a military take over that she might replace military types with party hacks.
    Thinks ... the military types probably ARE party hacks ... back to the drawing board.

    All the deck chairs changed will not prevent the inevitable.

    The Truth Commission is still coming.

    Cristina Fernandez
    Armed Forces
    And
    deck chairs

    Armed forces being the ultimate word,

    Apparently it is very difficult to fire bow and arrows from a deck chair,

    But a simple military bat and ping pong ball is acceptable…lol.

    #11 I would not put anything past that mad bitch. Though they have no military, but then again neither does Uruguay.

    @1 I'm sorry, I don't agree. Whilst I understand the analogy of “Re-arranging deck chairs...”, I'm more inclined toward the concept of “welfare benefits”. After all, what has argieland got that merits the term “armed forces”? How many of the argie air forces's 177 planes can actually get off the ground? How many of the argie navy's 42 vessels can actually go to sea? The answer is 15 or less. How much of the argie army knows how to fight? They haven't done it for more than 30 years. And then they lost! Can't you just imagine it? “I can't exist on 500,000 pesos a week”. Answer “Okay. I'll promote you. No-one will notice the odd million pesos here or there. There's only four of you”. And it's pensionable. Or at least it will be until we trump up a few charges and throw you in jail”. Wonder if CFK gets a buzz out of pretending to be a proper country.

    @7 Artillero 601:

    Your military has Tanks? Can they heat water?

    Hot running water and deckchairs MIGHT just convince the Falklanders to join your Latin Empire...I suggest Timmerman slips these bits of information into his next presentation to the C24. He may also want to brag about having toiletpaper as well: it could impress some other Latin countries there.

    Even if they had them, that division of nuclear armed MBT's stationed at Moody Brooke would be more than able to deal with them.

    Militarising the South Atlantic, who us??

    Even if the Argentine military has tanks, one wonders just how they would deploy them to the Falklands, considering that they have no ships. :)

    Wishful thinking on the part of our Malvinista's?

    @17
    As apparently Hector has worldwide support surely one of their mates could supply them with a ship that works, but probably not the crew to go with it (they will be conveniently on leave)in case Astute is taking a cruise.

    I think their best bet is to invent a huge raft, wait till the South Atlantic is calm (if ever) , load the tanks and use their coastguard vessels to tow them, as those ships seem to work, (amazingly).

    As the Argies seem to be under the impression that a UK nuclear powered sub is permanently stationed in the SA (probably hasn't been there for years), my 'ingenious' plan would not be acted upon, though with the Argie's lack of logic, we just don't know...

    I bet at this very moment the Trolls will be reporting to Maximo 'make rafts for tanks' pass this on to mum and Timmerturd.
