It stems from before I started my own businesses and I worked for a number of large multinationals.

Their way of 'managing' a disparate business was to hold monthly meetings with the local management to discuss 'the figures'.

They were known as the Seagull Team because they flew in, squawked a lot, ate all the food, crapped everywhere and flew out!

It was of course all different when I was appointed to divisional responsibility and joined one of the teams: I ate all the pies!

    LOLs

They'll bring back tales of heated swimming pools, huge shops they call supermarkets and places with ...like some giant tele that people watch together in a big dark room...screen were bigger than 10 sheep stacked 'igh.
No....I exaggerate, they're well accustomed to such modern social trappings...given they spend half their lifetime in England.
    Club Falklandcana holiday camp.

They had heated swimming pools in Argentina as well, but not any more they can't afford to heat them.

Quiet times in the RG media...

'BOOK PRESENTS “VISIONS ON FALKLAND URUGUAYAN” - The Uruguay Defense Minister Eleuterio Fernandez Huidobro, will head tomorrow in the Legislative Palace in Montevideo the launch of “Visions Uruguay over Malvinas”, in which representatives from politics and local culture give views on Argentine archipelagos...'

'CONCORDIA WAS MADE IN THE TRADITIONAL PROCESSION FOR JULY 9 - ...He stressed further that these “remnants of colonialism” could be seen a few days ago, when the “imperialist powers hijacked the president of Bolivia, Evo Morales.” So called on citizens to “remember” and keep working to “consolidate the draft country that understands that sovereignty is only with social inclusion”...'

Hey..... what's that big yellow thing in the sky?

The sun does not appear yellow in the FI-it is white-and there are lots of sunshine hours in the Falklands

    @11
“They'll bring back tales of heated swimming pools”

Why? There's been a swimming pool in Stanley since 1990-and an out
door pool called Surf Bay (amongst others).

When they return to the Falklands they won't be told bullsh1t by their leaders, their ships don't sink and they won't get mugged-keep BA

You're an idiot. You have no idea about life in the Falklands.
We have supermarkets, a heated swimming pool, and a cinema at MPA. No-one apart from some retired people spend half their time away.
We have dangerously bright sunshine for much of the year.
Educate yourself and stop looking like a tit.

Good luck to the Falklands Team; you're on my ancestral island and my family DNA is in all the old families. We produced a lot of females so our family name has been daughtered out, but still going strong in Argieland
