The government of President Cristina Fernandez told the business community on Monday that Argentina has an interest in a ‘balanced’ negotiation between Mercosur and the European Union to reach a political, association and trade agreement. However the timetable approach of Argentina does not seem to fit with the rest of Mercosur, mainly Brazil. Read full article

What good does Mercosur do Brazil?
If there is not a change of Argentine administration in 2015 I think they should leave, they understand world economic interaction ,the Victory Front does not!

It's good to see that the EU holds all the cards. And there's that word “demands” again. When will mercosur and, particularly, argieland understand that they are bit players. The argie proposal is a non-starter. Argieland's “domestic policy tools” are counter-productive. Brazil and Uruguay are desperate. Get used to paying more. Of course, if they don't want to pay more, they could just expel argieland. Or we could sell our stuff elsewhere. Nobody in the EU is really interested in argieland or Venezuela. Can't really have a political association with a bunch of cheating, lying nutters.

Stupid Dilma will let Brazil lose its EU trade preferences to appease nutty CFK.
Wow what a way to ruin a country.
And across the border Arg is decreasing the nat gas to companies by 70%. Again shutting down the major USA companies. My guess is they won't put up with this b/s for very much longer. It will be easier to pack up and move production to another plant.
    It shouldn't be long now.

Yankeeboy, why does American society ALWAYS blame mental ilness for all their mass shootings, over, and over and over again?

Why can't Americans just admit their society is awful awful sick, and do something to fix it?

Best if Brazil& Uruguay get on with it and leave Arg and Ven out in the cold where they are best left.

If all my friends are doing cocaine, and I don't do it and the ostracize me, I'd feel pretty good about that.

Replace cocaine with = current global financial/economic model of addiction to “too big” to fail banks and debt.

Argentina staying out of that is not necessarily a bad thing. Too bad your country keeps shoveling inside the pit of debt.

    7&9 Toby

Your Off-topic distraction tactics are not working.

Looks like Brazil, Paraguay, and Uruguay will find a way to work around Argentina's “Mercosur” timetable, or be forced to drop Mercosur (and Argentina and Venexuela) altogether, eventually.

Argentina will be left behind, while Brazil surges forward.

    @ 1 Frank,

She had it rebuilt by the local shipyard but they reassembled it onto her arse, which makes perfect sense as she talks out of it all the time.

    @ 3 Stevie

    That made me giggle!

Only problem in a group hug, do you know WHO you are hugging and WHICH BIT you have got hold of?

My support from my mates against the dreaded brits

Royal Navy warship HMS Lancaster has visited Colombia to strengthen relationships with the country

    UNITAS 2013
    Was a U.S. Southern Command-sponsored, Colombia-hosted multinational naval exercise?
Friendly, mutual cooperation and understanding between participating navies. Naval forces from Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Peru, Chile, the United Kingdom and the United States took part.

Sadly CFK could not find a ship to take part,
So a complaint is whizzing its way to the UN..lol.

We should not be so harsh????????

Never understood quite well why Brazil is always so complacent with kirchnerist Argentina...
Of course Cristina and Dilma share big meetings and summits, where its all smiles and everybody agrees on whatever nonsense they agree to sell out to the public, but everybody knows that at a personal level and behind doors things do go well at all between them. Tensions go as far back as the Lula presidency. What does Brazil see in the long term that it sees fit to be complacent with Argentina is beyond me. Perhaps nobody wants Mercosur to fail politically, I just don’t get it

CFK's protectionism of Aerolineas is well recognised:
