    The United Kingdom supports Gibraltar! Spain is a shitty, imperialist, colonialist, dictatorial aggressor. Time to launch Harpoon anti-ship missiles against any Spanish vessels entering British Gibraltar Territorial Waters? And I do mean “any”. Time to site artillery at the top of “The Rock”? Time to site anti-aircraft missiles? Just to shoot down any Spanish trespassers. Time to re-locate 200 of the “moth-balled” Challenger 2 (never beaten) main battle tanks? Time for a couple of flights of Army Air Corps Apache attack helicopters? Time for some new artificial reefs of Spanish originreft ? Perhaps we could consider some Royal Navy personnel shooting at Spanish national using pleasure craft in the (non-existent) Spanish territorial waters. Perhaps RAF Tornados and Typhoons could practice bomb and missile runs over (non-existent) Spanish territorial waters? Remember that, according to Spain, territorial waters are defined in the Treaty of Utrecht. That doesn't mention Spanish territorial waters. Wonder why Spain won't go to the ICJ? Spain. Just as shitty as argieland!

    @ 1 The UK owns Gibraltar, you mean, well, that for now, perhaps two more years, and the UK will lose it.

    Do you mean to say Gonzo, that you support Gibraltar's independence?
    Good for you, so very pleased to hear it.
    Or did you think that Spain would take them over? No, thats not going to happen.

    @3 Isolde

    Indeed.

    The only way that the UK will 'lose' Gibraltar is the day that the Gibraltarians decide they want to be independent.

    @2 No, Muppet, the UK does NOT own Gibraltar. Although it's what the shitty Spaniards and ludicrous latinos would like the world to believe. Gibraltar is a UN trust territory. The UK is the trustee. Responsible for ensuring good governance and guiding the territory to INDEPENDENCE. The UK is also responsible for defence and foreign affairs because of the small size of the territory and the proximity of a nearby belligerent, larcenous, mendacious “neighbour”.
    @5 Why would we ask someone that doesn't exist? There are no “Chagossians”. Never have been. There were a bunch of imported plantation workers that called themselves Ilois. But, by 1964, 80% of the “population” was Seychellois on 18-month or 2-year contracts. The peak population, recorded in 1953, was approximately a thousand individuals. In 1966, the population had dropped to 924. By the time of their removal, only 185 or less might have been Ilois. This less than 185 individuals should be looking to the Mauritian government. The UK has handed over the equivalent, in today's money, of £60 million to the Mauritian government for the benefit of these islanders. If the Mauritian government pocketed the money, that's their problem. Not the UK's!

    There is a big difference between Ceuta,Malilia and Gibraltar was given away under a treaty. Ceuta and Malilia were occupied by force ,therefore they should be returned back to Morocco. Spain has no right to Ceuta and Malilia nor any rights whatsoever to Jabal Tariq that belonged to the Moroccans before them. Jabal Taqiq was a berber who gained it after the king of Spain raped the daughter of the ruler of Ceuta. The spanish know the history very well and in Arabic since it was their official language for 780 years but decided to eraze that history and replaced it by their own lies.After Roderic came to power in Spain, Julian had, as was the custom, sent his daughter to the court of the Visigothic king to receive an education. It is said that Roderic raped her, and that Julian was so incensed he resolved to have the Arabs bring down the Visigothic kingdom
