On Thursday 7 it will be a month since Argentine President Cristina Fernández was forced to undergo surgery to have a blood clot removed with latest medical reports indicating time for the head of state to return to office might be coming soon. Human rights leader Estela de Carlotto, acting as an improvised spokesperson said that time could be on “November 9 or 10.”
“It’s been said (it could be) November 9 or 10 for her reappearance. It will be a celebration for sure. She will have to take care of herself and we will have to help her. We are waiting to hug her, to see her,” the head of the Grandmothers of Plaza de Mayo human rights organization said.
In statements to a Buenos Aires radio station, Carlotto rejected as well versions alluding to an alleged cabinet reshuffle following the government’s defeat in some key electoral districts on October 27 midterms. “I don’t think that something will be changed at this moment unless it results convenient to appoint someone in a different position,” Carlotto considered but pointed out she had no intervention in government's affairs.
At the end of last week, the Fundación Favaloro clinic where the Argentine president has been receiving medical treatment since she was diagnosed with a subdural hematoma last month released a new report saying that the President continues to show a “favorable evolution” and that authorities will be “defining” whether she can return to official duties once a month since the operation is marked, which is next Thursday.
A new neurologic-imaging control and reassessment of her medical condition will decide whether the president can be released from neurologic and neurologic-surgery treatment, according to the last report which was announced by Communications Secretary Alfredo Scoccimarro.
However the previous week report mentioned that once neurologic-surgery treatment is over, the special team of cardio-vascular doctors will look into the heart condition of the president, the first reason for her going to the clinic.
Sources from the presidential residence in Olivos where Cristina Fernandez is convalescent have indicated that in effect the president is in good spirits, recovering and has even started to read some newspapers and government reports. However doctors also demanded that the news be 'filtered' as not to expose the president to stress. Cristina Fernandez has been barred from flying and must avoid by all means stress situations.
And if finally the Argentine president is discharged from hospital the big question is at what rhythm and work intensity will she return to the job.

Nov 06th, 2013 - 07:59 am 0since 12 years she - with her gone husband - wishes that most of the bondholders die whom she owes lots of money as head of the state arg. she (they) called these holdouts vultures, robbers, no matter if these people were or still are ill and needed and need the money for their convalescence as she did the last 4 weeks.
My wife suffers since 12 years from the lack of our money. Let her suffer, too!!
She seems to have lost a lot of her popularity. Looks like she'll be joining members of the old junta in clink shortly. Wonder what they'll talk about.
