Argentine President Cristina Fernández attended on Thursday evening the Favaloro Foundation Hospital in Buenos Aires for a medical check-up, including a brain scan and an electrocardiogram which were described as satisfactory.
”Complying with the plan programmed by the Presidential Medical Unit (UMP) for the control of President Cristina Fernandez health condition, she underwent medical tests consisting of a neuro-image and an electrocardiogram. Both were satisfactory, says the release signed by doctors Luis Buonomo and Marcelo Ballesteiros from the UMP.
President Cristina Fernandez is scheduled to fly on Friday to the Patagonian province of Santa Cruz, to join the family, where she is scheduled to attend on Saturday the Lake Feast and on Sunday celebrate her son Maximo birthday.
The Argentine leader has been having medical problems since 8 October when she underwent cranium surgery to drain blood clots, and cardiovascular checks, the original motive for her going to hospital.
A few weeks ago Cristina Fernandez also visited another hospital, Austral del Pilar, apparently for lumbago but was finally diagnosed with bursitis of the left trochanter”, a swelling of muscles which help articulate the waist.
But despite all the medical problems and regular checkups the Argentine president seems well in command of her government with major decisions clearly reflecting her attitude and style.
