The trolls will, of course, allege that the squid is Argentine!

    the name is patagonia squid.
    hence argentinian squid.
so, the correct phrase would be:
“Patagonia squid stolen by the Falkland Islands..”

Bloke goes into sea food restaurant.

Jervais the Waiter asks him what he would like to eat and he says squid.

Accompanied by the Jervais , they go to the live tank.

Curled up in the corner is a green squid with a moustache, what sort of squid is that the Bloke asks Jervais, that sir is the wild green squid, most delicious.
I'll have that then says the bloke.

Jervais fishes it out and takes it to the chopping block, he picks up the knife, the squid looks at him weeping. It's no good says Jervais I can not kill it. I will ask Hans the kitchen hand to do it.

Hans comes out of the, picks up the knife, the squid looks at him, still weeping.
It's no good says Hans, I cannot kill it.

    The moral of the story.

NOW HANS WOT DO DISHES IS AS KIND AS JERVAIS WITH WILD GREEN HAIRY LIP SQUID.

    Ha, ha, ha.

I was really expecting the green squid with the moustache to be an Argie Squid.

I can only imagine it: A bunch of interbred Falkland Islanders turning up at the show with a sack full of (stolen) slimy squid.

No wonder their catch was so good this season, the explanation is in the name

    Illex Argentina.

    Easy to capture.

In the UK we have geese called “Canada Geese”. Do they rightfully belong to Canada because of that?

@11 - I don't think Paul really has a point and he is probably aware of this himself. Clutching at straws springs to mind.
