So they got someone to set out the chairs? Listen up, Paraguay, you have a number of enemies. There is argieland, that intends to move nuclear sites to where they will do more damage to you than to itself. There is brazil, that already steals your land, your resources, your electricity. There is Urineguay that goes along with it all hoping a crumb will fall off the table, Venezoola, that hasn't a gram of honesty or principle. And a nutty “president” who couldn't make it as a bus driver!

Riots and widespread public discontent in Brazil, riots and state sponsored killings in Venezuela, economic collapse and out of control inflation in Argentina and Venezuela. Conflicting economic agendas between the east west of the of the continent in competition with each other, widespread protectionist measures lead by Argentina deterring private investment and competition lead by a president who appears more insane by the day.

Not one tangible measure or agreement will be taken to address these serious and restrictive issues to your prosperity. Yet you will all agree to damage and hurt and turn away from a small group of peaceful islands who want nothing more than friendly relations with all of you.

You are all pathetic, backward and inward facing people and you deserve each other.

    OAS

Just another useless 'talking shop' where much is said and nothing is done. More and more books and reports published, that no one ever reads, nor gives a damn about, yet they all sign up and nod their heads in agreement.
    YET NOTHING CHANGES!

Apologies for shouting, but this is true. Always talking, 'agreeing' but nothing ever happens.

I am sick of try to earn a living and be productive in this environment.

Maybe I should just prostitue myself to OAS/UNASUR/MERCORSUR et al as some form of 'expert' an get on the 'gravy train' and just milk the cow?

    What do you guys think?

I wouldn't group the OAS in with Mercosur, Unasur and Celac.

OAS is now open to all states with the Americas, whereas most other groups define themselves on exclusion together with a vain attempt to forge some new system that invariably doesn't work.

ok Anglotino, I accept your point that OAS is separate and different to those you listed above, but I will reiterate my point that it is feckin useless.
That whole toothless charade when Marina (MCM), wanted to speak and they held ner behind 'closed doors' allowing an easy win for the Boligarchs? Then did nothing?

And then came out with some weak-assed statement about how everyone 'should work together for the best outcome'?
    My main point was;
“Just another useless 'talking shop' where much is said and nothing is done. ”

the rest was just a rant, apologies for confusing the issue. This shit bothers me! I will try to keep it more concise in the future (and buy a big fuck-off weapon and hunt the fuckers down...)

oooh thinking out loud again, naughty!
    ;-)

OAS is definitely not A-game staffers. It is chock full of SAs that aren't smart enough or are too lazy to get a job at IMF WB IDB but still have political connections.
It is a has-been organization that should be defunded.
BTW I found out the Rg IDB country rep won't allow English to be spoken in her office. Its no wonder nobody does business with them. Sheesh.

Stand by for the usual Argentine press release thanking the OAS for supporting their claim to the Malvinas, expect it h as already been typed and is in what's his faces name? back pocket.

Like a clip from Ground Hog day.

Man how they come around with boring rapidity, C24, OAS, etc, etc, yawn!

To no avail though, cos there's bugger all they can do about it without the Islanders consent.

Got to love that Right To Self Determination it rocks!

There is always a need for multilateral and multinational bodies to create connections between countries. While I am not saying the OAS is the most proficient or high profile group, then same could be said about any body such as the EU and UN. I think the OAS is effective in its won way, which is much more than the many overlapping and ineffective groups in Latin America such as Unasur and CELAC etc.

Except for the UN, there is no other body that includes more states in the Americas than the OAS.
