China will be holding this year's World Meat Congress in Beijing, an event traditionally hosted by meat producing and exporting countries. However the significance of the world's second largest economy and its booming demand for meat have made it the right place for the 14/16 June conference. Read full article

Admirable as this news is it masks the real problems facing Uruguay: no REAL jobs.

We have 600,000 PRETEND jobs, all of those who work for the government and cannot provide an independent tax regime to the rest of us who DO actually pay taxes.

But this subtlety is completely missed on “No Money Pepe”, hence the need to kick US$ 2 Bn of debt 25 years down the road.

Only when the masses elect AND back a government proposing major structural reform to this society where they have to WORK for a living or they get NO money will things ever improve.

So, we are fucked.

Simples.
