Let me guess, will a load of big countries gang up to bully a tiny country again?

Jun 25th, 2014 - 07:27 am - Link - Report abuse 0Why does Argentina continue to treat the C24 as if it is the ICJ?
Jun 25th, 2014 - 08:17 am - Link - Report abuse 0The C24 can't do anything BUT help a country decolonise. It cannot adjudicate on nor even recommend the Falkland Islands become part of Argentina.
All it can do is help the Islands become decolonised. That includes become independent or even become fully integrated into the metropolitan structure of its state.
Integration into another country is only possible with the consent of the territory.
Oh has it been 12 months, another Christmas gone, another Britains Got Talent Winner, not long till X-Factor and the annual C24 freak show of down and out and on their arse, corrupt and poverty stricken countries who actually believe that we give a shit what they think!
Jun 25th, 2014 - 08:20 am - Link - Report abuse 0Blackadder: Would this brilliant plan involve us climbing over the top of our trenches and walking, very slowly towards the enemy?
Jun 25th, 2014 - 08:21 am - Link - Report abuse 0Darling: How did you know that Blackadder? It's classified information
Blackadder: It's the same plan we used last time, and the seventeen times before that.
Melchett: E-e-exactly! And that is what is so brilliant about it. It will catch the watchful Hun totally off guard. Doing exactly what we've done eighteen times before will be the last thing they expect us to do this time.

True. But it won't stop them from trying will it? What with them being fair and utterly impartial and what-have-you..............
Reminds me of the movie Ground Hog Day.

More hot air from the C24.

Filmusidiot going along to hold his hand.
l never realised how strong the opposition is- we'd better give in at once. lol!
C24 should now be abolished, as it is leaning more and more towards argentine future empire ambitions,
Jun 25th, 2014 - 10:36 am - Link - Report abuse 0scrap it before CFK claims parts of Chile ,Uruguay, and brazil..lol
More of the same. A waste of time and money for all concerned. All the speeches could be sent by email and read out by a UN official. I suppose for all the diplomats and their entourage it is a good opportunity to do some serious shopping in New York.
Jun 25th, 2014 - 11:25 am - Link - Report abuse 0Same old trick to fool the Argentinian masses, pretend the powerless C24 is the UN forth committee then get your friends on the C24 to agree with you & pretend that their advice is an official order from the UN.
Jun 25th, 2014 - 11:29 am - Link - Report abuse 0The Falkland islanders should just withdraw themselves from the C24 list. the C24 was founding with the ideals of allowing distant territory's independence and has been turned in to a pack of bully's trying to force territory's into submission of another sovereign state.
Jun 25th, 2014 - 11:46 am - Link - Report abuse 0C24 not fit for purpose and should be abandoned. territory's such as the Falklands and Gibraltar should just refuse to acknowledge the C24 and be done with it. with out native representation makes there whole endeavor pointless
I feel genuinely sorry for the Islanders, being dragged into this year after year just to defend their right to live where they have been living for generations.
Jun 25th, 2014 - 11:47 am - Link - Report abuse 0But I suppose it is to be expected. Every time there is bad economic news in Argentina they step up their verbal attacks on the islands. Given the latest round of news from the real world, the Islanders can probably heat their homes this winter with all the hot air about to come their way from various Argie politicians..
Look guys, this is serious stuff!
Jun 25th, 2014 - 11:56 am - Link - Report abuse 0How else are Gollum and Filmus Now ever going to keep their jobs AND, don't forget the shopping in NYC!
Deny that the UN has any jurisdiction. Deny that the C24 has any mandate. Follow Gibraltar's example. Demand to know what measures have to be taken so that the Falkland Islands are considered decolonised. Suggest that the Falkland Islands will not waste their time attending again. And ask whether the C24 and the UN is intent on starting a war? Get out a metal tray and burn an argie flag! If possible, start it using Falklands oil.
Jun 25th, 2014 - 12:23 pm - Link - Report abuse 0That's true. They get their annual junket to the Big Apple, complete with shopping and dining, I'm sure. You know, to rest up from the hard work of managing the day-to-day operations of the Malvinas Islands.
Jun 25th, 2014 - 12:25 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I wish I could have a job where I got paid real money to manage a ficticious region.
Oh, wait, never mind...
This tits on a bull committee is getting old. When will the UN step up and get rid of it? Come to think of it the UN is getting old as well.

Jun 25th, 2014 - 05:02 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Yes, what for us is fictional comedy, is fact for Argentina and stupidly they think Melchet's plan will work, perpetually in 25 years time.
Argentina thinks running back into the past, is in fact running into the future/?
Jun 25th, 2014 - 05:49 pm - Link - Report abuse 0but having lost everything they seem to touch, they never learn.lol
Will the presentation include details of how the descendents of Spanish colonists will be removed from Argentina? or give new details of how native peoples rights are being defended in Argentina? Correct me if I'm wrong but within the last 20 years havn't indigenous people in Argentina had land stolen to make way for Hispanic owned Soya farms?
Jun 25th, 2014 - 07:21 pm - Link - Report abuse 0The link below shows Argentine hypocrisy:

And of course should they ever capture the Falklands the first thing they would do is flood it with colonists. Little chance given the lack of cash for the military and impending economic default.
Its funny to see Hector taking his bitch to new York for a shopping trip, yow! must get pretty itchy for him in the hotel room with all her facial hair.

You just could not make this shit up.
The fact that the committee even allow this, or Spain doing the same, is yet another example of how totally unfit for purpose this committee is.
Time for them to go, for they have been there long enough for any good they may have done.
