Spain should redirect his flight for the lulz.
Then turn him back at the border.

Make an early reservation for an identical trip next year Mr Lidington.

That would be the Argentinian way would it not?
Not much mileage in that sonny, Didn't work for Argentina did it? All the hassle and still no talks. The best way is to come to a compromise with the UK, not antagonise them. They can talk about many things but you will find that the talk of sovereignty is definately off the table. The Spanish are only alienating their approx 30,000 workers that work in GIBRALTAR, they may learn or not but I don't think it is is the Latinos genes.

If Spain wants to rack up the tension, fine. We make a better friend than an enemy.

Where does it say he wants to cross the border ? He is not the minister for the third world .

@1 No information on how he will reach Gibraltar. Aboard an RAF transport with a Typhoon escort? The RAF has 5 BAe 125s and 4 BAe 146s.

    Spain won't do anything.

    It can't.

All it can do is create long queues. Hardly inspiring fear in anyone.

    “British sovereignty of Gibraltar’s waters.”
    says the imbecile.
all that these thieves have to illegally occupy gibraltar is that joke of treaty of utrecht.
and that treaty does not say a shite about territorial waters.
maybe one day this pelotudo will understand that british sovereignty, british waters and british whatever are exactly in britain and not in southern argentina, southern spain or northern ireland.

Any visits by the EU or anyone else in any position of authority will be doomed to failure if notified in advance, all the greedy, thuggish conquistadors will do is soften their position while any inspection is in progress, then rack it up as soon as it's over (probably a little more harshly for a few days) to 'punish' Gibraltar.

The Spanish can't sign a treaty, contact or anything else, without trying to worm they way out of it by breaking the rules, going back on their word or (their method of choice) using corruption to line their own pockets. In fact they take the childish and blunt view of that half witted poster, paulcedron, here takes (always guaranteed to post in an anti British rage) both he and the Spanish represent all that worst in trying to treat semi literate barbarians as if they were in some way decent, respectable and civilised.

Spain has a long history of conquest, theft and rapes the oceans of the world in direct contravention of other treaties and conservation rules (not to mention borrowing billions of German & British money via the EU to keep their failing and corrupt state afloat)

“maybe one day this pelotudo will understand that british sovereignty, british waters and british whatever are exactly in britain and not in southern argentina, southern spain or northern ireland.”

    Blubbering Idiota Pablo niño,

The Gibraltans are in Gibraltar, the Northern Irish are in Northern Ireland - they like it that way, and want to keep it that way.

It's up to them, legally, morally, logically.

It doesn't matter what “spotty-face”, in Argentina, living with Mummy and Daddy wants.
It has nothing to do with those who do not live there, work there, and contribute there.
There is nothing you can do about it- and rightly so.

I do get some consolation though, listening to your IMPOTENT temper tantrums - your misplaced and unnecessary, anger, sours your life and frustrates you, and your dealings with others, relationships etc.

    Whiney little sh!t !!

Spain's treatment of the Gibraltarians is a travesty. I'm really happy that the UK continues to look after Gibraltor's interests and the will of the people there.

How many South American nations had the UK supporting their fights for independence in the past, and now a number of Argentines wish the will of the inhabitants of a number of territories to have no rights, no freedoms to exist?!

    Absolutely astonishing!

“will understand that british sovereignty, british waters and british whatever are exactly in britain and not in southern argentina, southern spain or northern ireland.”

British sovereignty is where it is wanted by the inhabitants of territories that chose to have British protection against bullies like you, regardless of you want.

@7. Do you really have to be taught again? Since you're as thick as 12 short planks, I'll try. The Treaty of Utrecht is actually a series of treaties for the purpose of allowing shite spain to continue to pretend to be a “country”. A few minutes research shows that, even today, shite spain is no more a “country” than shite “argieland”. Although shite spain is slightly more acceptable since there are various things it doesn't dare do because it occasionally remembers that it can be bombed and missiled quite easily. However, back to the lesson. In 1713 there was no international agreement on “territorial waters”. Why would shite spain put a concept it didn't understand, being as thick as argieland, in a treaty aimed at saving shite spain being dismembered? There was no international agreement on “territorial waters” until 1964. Something called UNCLOS I. Are you getting it yet? In 1964 EVERY coastal territory acquired territorial waters. That included Gibraltar! Pushing your education and erudition on apace, have you noticed that those treaties make no mention of spanish territorial waters? Shall we go with that? If shite spain has no territorial waters it can't claim anything around Gibraltar, can it? Perhaps you'd prefer an “alternative” approach. In the “good old days”, a country could claim waters over which it could exert overwhelming physical force. Well, Britain could annihilate shite argieland with one hand and shite spain with the other. Gas portugal by farting in its face. Obliterate Italy by giving it rifles and watching its “troops” blow their heads off.

Ever heard the phrase “I do not agree with what you say, but I will defend to death your right to say it”. There's a new addition. “Unless you're a latino”. A failed “experiment”. Can a portion of the population of a cowardly, cretinous tribe be given a new “country” and invited to be honest, truthful, responsible? Nope. How do we compare shite argieland to shite spain?

    useless toy and other imbeciles
boludo, the thing is that gibraltar belongs to spain, north ireland belongs to the republic of ireland and malvinas belong to argentina.
the opinion of the squatters there just does not count.
thats why they are in the list of the special committee on decolonization.
    because they are illegal colonies.

and malvinas belong to argentina. No it doesn't

Correction malvinas does but the Falklands do not.

I think that clears up the matter. Nothing left to discuss.

Wow Spain must be pretty poor if it thinks a flight from London to Gibraltar is enough to be considered a waste of tax payers money.

Now if he'd gone elephant shooting in Africa..... then that is a different matter.

Anyway, so glad the Spanish border guards finally got around to sweeping and cleaning the cobwebs. Their side of the border was starting to resemble a real dump when compared to the British side. Have they no pride?
