Jun 28th, 2014 - 10:32 am - Link - Report abuse 0so far we have heard that it is a 'conspiracy' that Uruguay is the 'victim', it is a 'European plot' and denial.
Jun 28th, 2014 - 10:42 am - Link - Report abuse 0We have seen no remorse or regret.
What is the problem with taking responsibility?
Not really newsworthy.
Jun 28th, 2014 - 11:09 am - Link - Report abuse 0Someone quits to make a point.
Won't change reality. Uruguay just loses some influence within FIFA.
All over some guy that likes to bite.
Colombia will see Uruguay out of the competition tomorrow.
I am sorry to say this but Uruguay DESERVE to be out of the WC over the stupid, stupid support they have given to a man who clearly needs help to control himself.
Jun 28th, 2014 - 11:14 am - Link - Report abuse 0Uruguay is worse than a third world country in some respects and this is one of them.
Such a pity and so pointless.
He stopped short of saying this was an Anglo conspiracy, but did point out that all the journalists reporting on the incident spoke English.
Jun 28th, 2014 - 11:56 am - Link - Report abuse 0WTF is it with these people?
Inferiority complex does not even come close to describing them, they are down right psychotic.
And after his behaviour in the past 48 hours supporting the boy wonder. Those two committees he is walking away from (before being asked to leave) will be a so much better off without his obviously unbalanced views. How the hell did someone with a 5 year old's mentality of right and wrong get on them in first place? Come on FIFA sort it out please.
Jun 28th, 2014 - 12:12 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Smoko1 - Chris R, seems you hate Uruguay! what's the matter with you? As far as I see you love Mujica and all his Tupamaros gang...are you living there? Enjoy the Saturday!
Jun 28th, 2014 - 12:50 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Ehhhh?.... Ehhhh??EEhhhl Maestro
Jun 28th, 2014 - 01:51 pm - Link - Report abuse 0“We are hurt as a team, but we are also feeling stronger than ever. We will continue the competition with great rebellious attitude,” said Tabarez.
Scary.... Blatter cant sleep on that thought
Would love to see Uruguay win tonight and go on to win the cup.
Jun 28th, 2014 - 01:53 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Uruguay and Liverpool should get together and sue FIFA for all they are worth.
@9 I don't think Uruguay and/or Liverpool are worth that much. Especially after a few corruption investigations by someone trustworthy. Who's trustworthy? Easy. Who hates Uruguay and/or Liverpool?
Jun 28th, 2014 - 01:59 pm - Link - Report abuse 0On what grounds?
Jun 28th, 2014 - 02:05 pm - Link - Report abuse 0It's all ready been pointed out. There are at least a billion witnesses to the events, they going to pay all those witness costs when they lose?
9. And you nickname is Be serrious???
Jun 28th, 2014 - 03:03 pm - Link - Report abuse 0@9
Jun 28th, 2014 - 03:35 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Not the first time he has done it has he? he is a serial biter. If I was the owner of Liverpool I would be suing the arse off Suarez, filthy cheat, just like Maradona, ( hand of God incident ) I certainly would pay him while he is banned. I understand that Barcelona are after him and if I was Liverpool I would bite their hand off to sell him. He is a liability.
12 No. The name is Be serious.
Jun 28th, 2014 - 03:41 pm - Link - Report abuse 0C'mon Uruguay!
So, Suarez has released a ridiculous statement claiming he fell open-mouthed onto the shoulder of Chiellini, even though we all watched it live and saw him move his head forward to bite Chiellini. He can't admit the truth or show any remorse.
Jun 28th, 2014 - 04:19 pm - Link - Report abuse 0It is apparently all England's fault that he has been banned for four months. Really?
Now Chile are whining about the English referee. Honestly, it is amazing the HUGE power they give us over their lives.
I guess it is the English at fault that Chileans smash up their own buses every time they win a match. What will they do if they lose? Blame the English?
15.
Jun 28th, 2014 - 04:32 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Because most of the international media heavy weight of football is the English media. So you will get the blame for it.
Uruguay is scapegoating Suarez miss conduct as a vendetta of the Italians and the English
@16 The English and Italians working together??? Whodathoughtit? LOL
Jun 28th, 2014 - 04:40 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Did you just see the English score a goal for Brazil? *coughs*
Well if the English and Italians had any say in the FIFA they woulden't have been in this same group.
Jun 28th, 2014 - 05:01 pm - Link - Report abuse 0More awfull refereeing ?? How can that be??
@ 7 smoko1
Jun 28th, 2014 - 05:12 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Are you new here or just Stevie, the bed wetter with a new tag?
If you are new here then have a guess.
Cant say thee ref hasn't leveled things back for Chile...The chilean strikers are getting nervous
Jun 28th, 2014 - 05:23 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Suarez has written a letter to FIFA has part of the appeal
Jun 28th, 2014 - 05:52 pm - Link - Report abuse 0He says he slipped and caught the Italians shoulder with his teeth, it was an accident after all.
Now it's starting to become embarrassing to watch!
@21 Very embarrassing for Suarez to try to lie his way out of his third biting incident. I am guessing the people around him are giving him terrible advice.
Jun 28th, 2014 - 05:55 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Reminds me of that old police joke.
Jun 28th, 2014 - 06:13 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Tell me sir, how vast was the wall travelling when it collided with your car?
Fantastic effort, Chile, you were so close to beating Brazil.
Jun 28th, 2014 - 06:59 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Relief in Brazil tonight. The riots would have been grim if they lost.
Im not one of the xenophobic racists here...but.... can no South American take responsibility for their own actions?
Jun 28th, 2014 - 07:13 pm - Link - Report abuse 0The Uruguayan response to this is symptomatic of the very worst cliches about South Americans (as exhibited most commonly by Argentina)..its ALWAYS somebody elses fault.
Then again, its a footballer, but.. biting isn't acceptable in rugby... how the hell do you defend in the effete realm of soccer?
He'll do it again.
Jun 28th, 2014 - 07:45 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Celebrating him as a hero does him no favours. He needs help. And pretending nothing happened, blaming everyone else, won't get him that help. I wonder how long his ban will be next time.
Chile were brave and can be proud of their efforts. Brazil should be worried. This does not bode well for them.
Jun 28th, 2014 - 07:58 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I will be cheering for Colombia in the next match. Uruguay has not accepted responsibility that one of their players is a psycho and has damaged their reputation globally.
@26 FIFA should have sent Suarez to do psychatic treatment.
Jun 28th, 2014 - 08:01 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Good !!
Jun 28th, 2014 - 09:14 pm - Link - Report abuse 0At least the lie they are and whines of Uruguay ends today
Colombia 2 - 0 Uruguay so far. .....
Jun 28th, 2014 - 09:25 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Final score 2-0.
Jun 28th, 2014 - 09:58 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I was routing for Uruguay, that was until their xenophobic idiot of a manager towed the revolutionary line!
Goodbye Uruguay!
Jun 28th, 2014 - 10:11 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Well, they worked for it off the pitch and they got what they deserve.
Jun 28th, 2014 - 10:18 pm - Link - Report abuse 0It is not true that Maradona was baking Uruguay over Colombia... Here is the evidence

I blame it all on their legalisation of marijuana. Must be good stuff to create the illusions they believe happened
Jun 29th, 2014 - 04:41 am - Link - Report abuse 0Some people do resort to fouls when their skill isn't up to the mark.
Jun 29th, 2014 - 10:50 am - Link - Report abuse 0We're out of the cup because Colombia played better. Congratulations Colombia.

Jun 29th, 2014 - 01:37 pm - Link - Report abuse 0well said
Elaine, your right....the way Chileans enjoy when our team wins is very troglodyte.......but it´s a remnant of the political demonstrations allowed by authotities...All those must be judged and imprisoned for a long term....
Jun 29th, 2014 - 03:24 pm - Link - Report abuse 0The English referee was elected because he is one of the top and he showed it yesterday with a totaly impartial work....Chilean team fought as braves and lost it oportunity with a very bad penalties execution.....I´m happy with their perfomance and comminment.....but, yeah, the previous matches referees weren´t the quality this tournament required as the Britsh was.....
About Mr. Hannibal Suarez......well, no explanation is posible to justify his attack to another player withoutb the ball in play. so it must be undertood as a criminal offense and beside the a all life suspensión he should be charged with imprisionmentas any ofender and the Uruguayan team should be suspended from the tourmanent because its openly support to him against bthe fair play rule and and criminal offense trying to change the focus of the fact to a FIFA´s conspiracy against Uruguay because facts occurred on 1950.....LOL....!!!
When Chielan goalkeeper Condor Rojas was punished for his whole life as a football player he didn´t hurt any other people and he hadn´t have dirty record as player......This other guy present a 2 previous felonies of the same kind, both meant a punishment for him and he didn´t changed his bahaviour on the field....so was the Uruguayan are expecting about him...??? They must be happy the punishment was too light for their leader footballer that MUST BE en example for their youth....(take on account the case of Maradona, who is the antithesis of a positive leader for the youth in a country....deleting how good in their play he could be).
Colombia made justice winning the match with a great demnstration of quality .....well done, Colombians...!!! Congrats....
41. Your biggest chance of another Maracanazo was in the complementary time 2 minutes before the penalty shoot outs. That blast that Pinilla that hit the bar of the Brazilian goalie will haunt him for the rest of his life.
Jun 29th, 2014 - 03:44 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I didn't expect the Chileans besting a very experienced goalie like Julio Cesar.
A pity that Colombia doesn't have Falcao in there ranks. Brazil will have some serious trouble if Colombia would have both James Rodriguez and Falcao on the field.
However if there is a cooach that has experiance defeating Brazil that is Jose Pekerman. They couldn't be in better hands.
Luis Suarez is a little spoilt child who never learns,
Jun 29th, 2014 - 06:20 pm - Link - Report abuse 0this is not the first time it has happened,
This is not the 2nd time its happened,
3 times and his still bits like a child,
he should be removed from playing football, full stop,
Luis Suarez/Uruguay say he is a victim of a euro/anglophone stitch up: I think we need to look at the evidence; Luis Suarez was brought up under a Latin America value system.
Jun 29th, 2014 - 09:51 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Case closed. Next....
Pity Uruguay went out. At least they were entertaining and got people talking about what is an awful tournament. Even Brazil are not as good as they used to be.
Jun 30th, 2014 - 01:16 am - Link - Report abuse 0My 2.5 year old son has a problem biting other kids when he wants a toy. Its happened about 5 times now at day care. We are working with him, telling him to stop, and have even resorted to biting him back to show that it is not acceptable behaviour. One can only think that Suarez's parents didn't stomp this behaviour our when he was a child, and the 'support' that the Uruguay people have given him will do nothing to stop it either. Uruguay is not a victim, it is the problem.
Jun 30th, 2014 - 01:35 am - Link - Report abuse 0@ 46 Mr Sensible
Jun 30th, 2014 - 12:47 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Uruguay is not a victim, it is the problem.
This is so true on so many levels and as far as I can judge will be the case until the mass of the people are allowed and encouraged to get a real education.
This will never happen under the present Broad Front regime. They TALK a lot about education but do their best to ignore and upset the professional teachers.
Ha ha! Suarez has admitted and apologised. He is off to Barcelona. Will he be paying for your pension Mr. Coach? You resigned for him. Fool!
Jun 30th, 2014 - 10:23 pm - Link - Report abuse 0The biter with no morals, no self control and no honour has just shafted those countrymen that were willing to lie in order to support him.
It's all a gone a bit shit now, eh Pepe?
Do you wonder why no one takes you seriously?
Any comments Stevie? Your bed must be absolutely soaking now! Might even have to get up and go get a job now!
Bahahaha!
I saw a video compilation of Suarez on YouTube this morning.
Jul 01st, 2014 - 12:50 am - Link - Report abuse 0Tripping, eye-gouging from behind, biting, diving - all clear and obvious on video!!
Laughing all the time.
What an asshole!
EYE-GOUGING !!!!
Spoilt human garbage.
If this had not been hte THIRD such accusation, perhaps the penalty would have been excessive, but when people don't learn, well . . . .
