I suspect that the annual rate strippi out to controlled prices will look closer to 40% yoy inflation. At this rate of decrease as per the INDEC figures, Argentina will be entering a deflationary spiral sometime aroud christmas. Not what I hear from the people on the ground. They just tell me that they can't afford anything as inflation is killing them.

There's another devaluation right around the corner. They are pumping at least $170B pesos into the economy by year end.
Regardless of default or not this is going to get much worse before it gets any better.

Well done Kirchner, world leaders in inflation....

But please, keep telling us that this is all a lie, a conspiracy, etc, since everything is fair and square in Argentina´s economy.

Nope. That would be Venezuela. Currently at 73.1% last report I read.

I am sure Argentina will catch up soon!

IMF told Arg in no uncertain terms that price controlled items can not be included in the new inflation figures.

So after a year of review ( Fed 15) they'll probably bounce them.

Sorry Feb 2015. If they fail the review they'll probably move them to the next level of review which is a year away from bouncing them out of the IMF.

I can't figure out to what end CFK and minions travel around asking for support from other loser countries against the US Courts?
    To what end?
    What purpose does this serve?
Argentina lost, a strongly worded letter from some half-witted banana republic claudillo to the NY Courts isn't going to get them out of paying.

In fact I think it makes Argentina look stupid, weak and sophomoric.

Griesa's patience must be running out just about now.

Looks like the overall inflation trend is going down as expected.

    @12
That is only because their economy is slowing down. Soon they will use that as an excuse to print even more pesos to try and stoke their economy. More and more money floating around with less and less actual productive work being done ( = hyperinflation).
It is almost like an Economy Text book example of how inflation works.

Come to think of it, it makes me wonder: Is Argentina an actual real country? Or is some economy professor at a business school somewhere running an experiment over and over to prove what doesn't work in a real economy...?

The economy isn't slowing it is just about dead stopped. The only thing keeping it on life support is the massive influx of pesos they are still stupidly pushing into the system.
There will be massive layoffs shortly.
The gov't has been hiding the unemployment decline by hiring the unemployed in the gov't they have over 2MM new people working for Fed and Prov gov'ts!
This whole country is 1 cold wave away from complete collapse.
