    Oh that's right..she was well done......by one of the crew.....

    You seem to really enjoy imagining what acts were carried out.

    Surely there are other sites that cater more explicitly to your tastes?

    what a surprise to see a comment like that

    Unlike some nations that wont be mentioned, the Royal Navy does peacekeeping duties with its ships, these are ships that not only float but and move under their own power.

    The crew respectfully took part in a ceremony to commemorate the dead, rather than other countries who celebrate the deaths of thousands

    All in all, a terrific display of Britishness

    Post independence the Scottish Navy will be on a par with the remains of the Argentinian one. Perhaps there will be joint manoeuvers?

    “teams of sailors volunteered to help with basic maintenance and the painting of hospitals and schools.”

    The presence that Mercusor objects to-when are the Latam country's Naval assets going to do something useful to help other countries?

    HMS Portland has visited 17 countries and steamed 31,400 nautical miles...

    Given that was just one British Warship, in the last 7 months

    Anyone want to guess how far did the entire Argentinian Navy sail in the last 7 months?

    A Royal Navy ship helping Britons to leave Libya amid worsening violence in the country is now at sea and heading to Malta, the Ministry of Defence says.

    It said HMS Enterprise was helping about 110 people but would not say when the ship was expected to reach Malta.

    Another reason the UK can be proud of its Navy.

    Give us the benefit of your military and naval expertise on the configuration of any sovereign naval force in Scotland IF independence happens. I would be most interested to hear from the horse's mouth how it will be formed and with what vessels, as you seem to have inside information not known to anyone else....unless the military genius C***
    is briefing you.
    Also, how will the “English”navy make up the shortfall when all Scottish personnel will be dismissed as foreigners and no longer be eligible to serve.
    The same will apply to the RAF. I read an article in a defense magazine about this very problem.
    At present, THEY SAID, the RAF has 30% of it's personnel of Scottish origin....this will take a mammoth recruiting and training program to fill this gap.
    So, England will have ships and aircraft but lack the people to man them.
    Answer, recruit more women, simples !

    I hope Scotland does not go independent as I personally believe we are better together.

    however, none of this is relevant to the fact that a Royal Navy ship has done some amazing work, unlike other countries navies.

    the Royal Navy has a proud history of having crew from all the UK, and I hope it continues

    @10 Clyde15,
    lf Scotland votes to become independent, l would say there would be no problem with Scots staying in the UK Forces.
    How many Southern lrish were in the UK Forces during WWII?
    ln fact how many citizens from the Republic of lreland are in the UK's Forces now.
    l, personally know one man from Dublin who was in the Royal Engineers in the 1970s.
    @2 Voice,
    -and you have a problem with that?
    Her only crime was not keeping it discreet, that is if she IS guilty.

    I don't have a problem with loose women....the more the merrier...
    I think the word affair was quoted as opposed to a relationship...it might be a good idea to stay focused when you are commanding a Battlestar...

    Now HMS Portland is back, why aren't there parties all over Argentina celebrating the de-militarisation of the South Atlantic?

    @17 Voice,
    Yes you are correct regarding her staying focused when in command of a huge responsibility like a warship.
    My mistake, l was being distracted & hadn't taken that into consideration(& l should have done) & was just a little annoyed that some people were judging other people's morals.
