Disclaimer & comment rulesArgentina can not fight alone against the Westerners. South America has a duty to support the struggle of Argentina.
Aug 20th, 2014 - 10:41 am - Link - Report abuse 0Retaliatory measures against the Western countries of North America should be taken jointly by UNASUR.
There you go Citigroup. Obey the judge and lose your argie banking licence. Obey the argies and get closed down.
Aug 20th, 2014 - 11:39 am - Link - Report abuse 0Incidentally, for the sake of the numpty @1, North America's assets far outweigh those of latin america. Best not to join in or the US might spit. Then you'd drown.
South America has a duty to support the struggle of Argentina.
Aug 20th, 2014 - 01:09 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Most South American countries can't stand the Argentinean government, especially at the moment.
I don't see the better run and more intelligent governments of Peru and Colombia supporting Argentina's pathetic posturing. Chile might but I still think they are too pragmatic for even that.
Seems it is up to Brazil to support Argentina. Which is why Brazil is suffering such a crap economy at the moment. Because it is stuck with Argentina.

Citi will have a very good case to take to ICSID, they're so huge it won't be a blip on their bottom line and in the end they'll get paid for everything that the Ks steal.
Aug 20th, 2014 - 07:34 pm - Link - Report abuse 0It will be really bad for Argentina though.
That noose is getting tighter.
Let's see now, talk is cheap, so I have no doubt with out twisting arms, Venezulea, Cuba, Bolivia and perhaps Ecuador will give Argentina vocal support.
Aug 20th, 2014 - 07:51 pm - Link - Report abuse 0With slight arm twisting, Uruguay will squeak in solidarity, perhaps sadly Chile will whisper something...
Paraguay and Brazil will just give a cold stare and maybe mention something ambiguous. Peru and Colombia will follow along... Hopefully Bachelet will chose this option as well, instead of with Mujica...
How many of theses countries will show actual real FINANCIAL support?
Maduro is indebted to China and Dilma is pissed at Cristina along with just about all the rest of South America... So, that leaves Argentina's future landlord...China...
Got any other scenarios?
Argentine banking license
Aug 20th, 2014 - 07:56 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Why wait, stop it now, saves Argentina more hardship further down the road ??
Plague and pox on everything named Citi - particularly Jamie Dimon.

Consulting firm PwC recently published its outlook for work in 2022, based on interviews with 500 human resources experts and 10,000 others in the United States and several other countries...
... Companies will also use sensors and other gizmos to monitor employees around the clock. And workers will mostly acquiesce to this digital leash, in exchange for job security, decent pay and important benefits.
Capitalism may yet have a conscience
(HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA... sure)
...with leverage continuing to shift away from workers toward employers, a rougher form of capitalism seems likely. Here are six plausible predictions about how the workplace will change by 2022:
Companies will monitor employees like lab rats. The ostensible purpose for this will be to keep tabs on employees’ health, to cut down on medical costs, sick days and illnesses that undermine workplace productivity...
Corporate indoctrination (aka brainwashing) will intensify. “Leadership teams [will] have a high focus on the evolution of the corporate culture, with rigorous recruitment processes to ensure new employees fit the corporate ideal,” PwC predicts. “New staff [will be] subject to compulsory corporate culture learning and development programs...”
Aaah... finally the NorthAmoans and EUians on this forum will reach that utopian capitalist paradise. Sounds wonderful.
tobi you're an idiot. We've had racial tensions since....well, always. Why?
Aug 21st, 2014 - 09:37 am - Link - Report abuse 0Because we have multiple races in our countries unlike you and your white's only race. You should get out of your momma's hole sometime. Your jealousy is ugly.
Cap, Don't bother with him any longer. He's out of his depth with interpreting news. He may know a lot of words but he clearly doesn't have the capacity to understand the deeper meanings of them.

It seems to be a common thread on here with the K supporters.
On Arg, I never expected the default to have such wide ranging consequences so quickly in their economy. They have made so many missteps i am beginning to think it is deliberate since its hard to believe they are really this dumb.
I've long thought that there is a panic rate in the Peso. I wonder what the number is? 15? 20? I think we shall find out rather quickly.
yb you're right. But as you know he is like an ingrown hair on your ass ......every now and again it begs to be itched.....lol
Aug 21st, 2014 - 12:17 pm - Link - Report abuse 0As for Argentina, anyone that takes a new swap in BsAs is a fool or an idiot. I think the debt will be accelerated. They are claiming we are not changing jurisdiction only payment location......well, we've already seen what they think of jurisdiction rules. If it sides with them...great, if it rules against them.........the judge is on the take. They seem to think the law is to be applied to make all equal. Do they really think criminal behavior should be equalized to the victims?
Argentina.....the new Venezuela
