President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner assured on Thursday that Argentina is under “permanent speculative attack headed by US Federal judge Thomas Griesa,” and criticized “local vultures who have amplified the offensive to the point of ridicule.” Read full article

Sep 19th, 2014 - 06:40 am - Link - Report abuse 0This crazy woman can't go on for much longer. I can understand why Argentines on here try to keep a brave face but beneath that thin veil they must feel completely conned and sold-out by the lunatic.

Sep 19th, 2014 - 07:27 am - Link - Report abuse 0Actually, quite a number of Argentines here are against her criminal regime, it's only a few like 4n con troll, Think, and a couple of other payasos who back the all out criminality of this regime, and it seems like they are La Campora clones. Personally, the more statements like this she makes, the more clear the message is sent to societies that respect the Rule of Law. I'm sure she will be around for a while, and may even manage to put Maximo Gordo in power, but of course, there will be a price to be paid by the Argentine people. Can't say I'm all that bothered by that if they can't manage to give her a Gualberto Villaroel sendoff. It's just a lamp post away ;)

Sep 19th, 2014 - 07:42 am - Link - Report abuse 0Yep, I accept your comments and I have noticed quite a few people speak out against her to a point. Surely you don't really believe she'll manage to get her son to take over? He doesn't seem to know much about politics and diplomacy. Wait a minute... Okay, I take your point.
She is totally out of control. If the people allow her son....MaximoThe Fat Fat Kirchner into power, they are beyond help and truly desire the misery that will rain upon them. I hate saying that. However I seriously doubt that he will make it into power. I think after 9/30 2nd missed interest payment shit will be blowing form the fan and the people will start getting quite antsy in the streets.
Sep 19th, 2014 - 09:25 am - Link - Report abuse 0It is most enjoyable watching the Argentine government turn on the US who have been very happy to sit on the fence on other issues but now find themselves on the receiving end of Argentine lies and deceit.
Sep 19th, 2014 - 09:36 am - Link - Report abuse 0Oh yes, this fence is quite comfortable isn't it !!!!!
Pointing is rude.
Sep 19th, 2014 - 09:54 am - Link - Report abuse 0@2. Really? Are you an Argentine? However, how does that match up with the Argentine population 'on the ground'? Are there demonstrations in the Plaza de Mayo? Why don't they storm the Casa Rosada? There is a precedent. April 1945. Mussolini. Butcher hooks, piano wire and lamp posts. And what is your position? Do you stand at the back? I ask Where is the courage? Why aren't you 'all that bothered'? Living somewhere else like the argie posters?
Sep 19th, 2014 - 10:08 am - Link - Report abuse 0The longer this nutty regime drags this out and defies US court orders the more chance the US gov't will step in and sanction them.
Sep 19th, 2014 - 10:48 am - Link - Report abuse 0It is very easy for the USA to say its illegal for them to use the U$ and our banking system until they come into alignment with our rules.
Very easy.
They really should think on that.
.....to the point of ridicule.
Sep 19th, 2014 - 12:07 pm - Link - Report abuse 0She's oblivious to the fact that it is her who has been the point of ridicule now for so long, no-one with an ounce of intelligence pays attention to her demented garbling anymore.
I hope everyone at the UN just laughs at her after her speech next week, that is if anyone is actually there to listen to her.
Lots of Int'l financial dailys are saying Argentina is on the way to becoming Venezuela.
Sep 19th, 2014 - 01:10 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I wonder what took so long.
I guess they've not been reading my posts over the last few years
:)
I said it a year ago.......Brazil is the new Argentina, is the new Venezuela, is the new Cuba.

Now that we have lost Stan and Ollie, it's good to have Cristina entertaining us with slapstick comedy.

True.....half of Cuba's relatives live 90 miles away in Miami and send money to them.

Please forgive me. I have temporarily exhausted my supply of snarky comments, demeaning names and other generally derogatory statements to make about rotting roadkill. I was naive. I had no idea that they could possibly keep this lunatic behavior up for such an extended period.
Sep 19th, 2014 - 04:27 pm - Link - Report abuse 0rotting roadkill, your Gringo Amigos salute you for your persistance in futility and ignorance. Salute!
Too little too late from the ambassador fromthe most corrupt and demonic US president in world history.....It would have been cool to rock the boat with Argentina before she created a destructive famine. This theatre is a lie. Cristina will walk away a millionaire. Kiciloff, Timerman, and Maximo will live well in Tel Aviv
Sep 19th, 2014 - 04:29 pm - Link - Report abuse 0How is the judge and the embassy staff launching these speculative attacks? Other than the underlying reason that no one wants the Peso cause you can't do anything with it what else is causing it to go down.
Sep 19th, 2014 - 06:14 pm - Link - Report abuse 0If CFK wants the Peso to keep its value she should try and get her country to produce something useful. The speculators would soon get their fingers burnt.

Yes, we know, Cristina: it´s the entire world´s fault but yours.
Sep 22nd, 2014 - 12:14 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Yes, we know, Cristina: it´s an evil conspiracy against you, not the result of your failed chavist-style polcies.
Yes, we know, Cristina: they attack you because they don´t want you to set the course to a new world of peronist joy.
Yes, we know, Cristina...we know.
