Why quote Greenpeace but not Sea Shepherd??? It has been Sea Shepherd, not Greenpeace, which has taken action against the Japanese whale poachers in the Southern Ocean Whale Sanctuary every year for the last ten years. Greenpeace have done nothing but watch from a distance. Sea Shepherd have saved the lives of thousands of whales.

Why don't the Antarctic treaty nations set up an exclusion zone around Antarctica to prevent whaling? Ships caught whaling will be boarded and confiscated or sunk

The annual whale hunt has become an illogical obsession for the Japanese. Their attitude seems to be one of refusing to accept a defeat without much consideration of whether it is a battle worth fighting. The fact that they can't even sell all their meat stock should highlight that it's a lost cause.

Who cares about 300 whales being killed?
Its such a tiny amount it won't make a difference to the species survival, plus this one isn't even endangered.
Sheesh this Whale obsession is like the Polar Bear obsession, science be damned look at the cute pictures.

    “science be damned”

Well that's the first sincere statement you've uttered in a long time. As a prototypical NorthAmoan, it is indeed “science be damned” with you.

So what happened on the 8th day? Any hypothesis from that amazing NorthAmoan science? Any archeological evidence of Adam's rib turn up yet?
