Uruguay will be receiving fifty cruise calls less this 2014/15 season, which is 26% down compared to a year ago, revealed the country's Deputy Tourism and Sports minister, Antonio Carambula during the official launching of the season. This means Montevideo will be hosting 104 calls and Punta del Este, 70, compared to the 237 between both terminals (121 and 116) in 2013/14. Read full article

Nov 20th, 2014 - 10:57 am - Link - Report abuse 0TWO years ago this bunch were told at the big convention of the cruise industry that unless the COST of landing in PdelE was reduced the number of cruise ships calling would be drastically reduced. The stupid bastards of the Broad Fraud thought they were bluffing: not a chance and this huge SIXTY-SIX percent drop when it should also have been increasing, just underlines the small minded people we are “ruled” by.
I am sure the “government” can work out percentage changes; they just don’t like telling the truth.
