Cristina Fernandez former Transport minister indicted for unlawful enrichment

Argentine presidential couple Nestor and Cristina Kirchner's former Transport Secretary Ricardo Jaime was indicted last week for unlawful enrichment and impounded for 40 million Argentine Pesos (approx 5 million dollars) He's the first of very close former aides of the powerful couple to face a jail sentence.

China's foreign minister on a round of Latin America to prepare president Xi's visit

China's Foreign minister Wang Yi will be travelling to Cuba, Venezuela, Argentina and Brazil from 18 to 27 April. The round comes two months ahead of Chinese president Xi-Jinping visit to Brazil for the BRICS summit next July in the northeastern city of Fortaleza. BRICS stands for Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.

FAO warns agriculture greenhouse emissions have doubled in 50 years

World trade expected to grow 4.7% this year and 5.3% in 2015, says WTO

World trade is expected to grow by a modest 4.7% in 2014 and at a slightly faster rate of 5.3% in 2015 World Trade Organization economists announced on Monday. The 4.7% forecast is more than double the 2.1% increase of last year, but remains below the 20-year average of 5.3%. For the past two years, growth has averaged only 2.2%.

Falklands' parade 21 April to celebrate HM Queen's birthday
