    Another step back for Argentina.

From pioneer in Antarctic research and exploration to an ignored paria, to the point that Colombia sought Chilean help to complete this mission.

Well done, Cristina Kirchner and pals, very well done.

Given the Fassmer-80 class offshore patrol vessel is usually equipped with 40 mm/70 medium-calibre and 2 x 12.7mm guns. Will the Argies be screaming about the militarization of the South Atlantic. Or is that just to protect the crew from the teenage Argy “War Veterans” incase they decide to cross the border for some running tap water, electricity or sanitary products.

Just remember, Colombia, you have no 'rights'. Antarctica is a scientific and study preserve. Unlike argieland and chile, play by the rules. At some point there will be a war. Argieland will be kicked off. Chile will have to wind its neck in or it will be at war as well.
