U$D 29Bn so far from 'Petrobrarse', U$D 30Bn from 'Bonarse' and all the other Lula scams that shafted the country soon adds up to drag Brazil back down to where it belongs.

It will soon have a smaller economy than Cuba!

But at least it will beat even them for government corruption. Lula IS proud!

While living under the yoke of the dollar will always be crazy and unimaginable disparities. This is one of them!

Who will help America, China, Russia, India and South Africa to solve this problem?

Brasso, you have no idea how funny this is. California has had financial problems lately,(among others.) Yet in spite of all that, the massive corruption that passes for governance in your country has robbed you blind, and I have to say, this really shows what a basket case your country has become. It beggars belief. ;)

Actualky UK is bigger than Brazil by nearly 10% at the moment.

Bravo to California. Australia should be looking and learning on how to innovate and foster industry. With only 60% of California's population we have 70% of its GDP.

That's why I'm all for immigration and continuing to grow our population. So we don't have a shrinking population like Brazil is looking at within the next 15 years.

@6. A question in my mind is where you support immigration TO?

We can do without immigration in the UK. Who arrives? A Pakistani 'couple'. Not forgetting the 2nd, 3rd and 4th wives. Even though polygamy is illegal in the UK. But the other 'wives' are often not represented as wives. Or there will be a series of false documents proving that 'he' got divorced and has now remarried. Think it through. One guy, 4 wives, 4 sets of parents. Then there's the kids. Half a dozen per 'wife' is not unusual. That's a total of 37 individuals. And they all go on benefits and take up accommodation whilst 'working' in the black (excuse me) economy.

Then there's the illegals who smuggle themselves across the Channel. Somalis, Ethiopians, Sudanese, Cameroonians, Liberians, Congolese, Angolans, etc. They 'disappear' into the 'underground'. But they do nothing for our country.

If you watch the news, you can see the sort of numbers of immigrants that get involved in crime of one description or another. 'Grooming' of male and female children, prostitution, drug trafficking, robbery, physical assault, fraud. And, wherever possible, they find a way of getting on the benefits gravy train as well.

It also brings in muslims of various descriptions that turn out to be or produce jihadis. As well as the louts that hang around in various places to mug old people.

Forget your support for immigration. It will destroy Britain. Will YOU be happy when every face around you is black or brown? No-one speaks your language. And you are expected to convert to Islam? Or else!

They can't succeed. The Civil answered that question. Like in the pledge....“one nation, indivisible”. Plus that question has been answerved multiple times by SCOTT'S including Scalia. Unlike Scotland they do not have that right.

“ So we don't have a shrinking population like Brazil is looking at within the next 15 years”...
In Brazil's case, a shrinking population, starting in the near future is a blessing in desguise. The reason for saying that is that segment responsible for most of the populational increase in Brazil , over the last 50 years, has the lower, poorer class. Historically, they have just been a burden to society, in that they are improductive and contribute zilch. If you consider the number of people, of working age, living on handouts, plus those who have given up looking for work, we are talking of an unemployment rate of closer to 25 % than the wonderful 6% claimed by the government....so why increase the problems ? Currently, the immigrants that are swarming in, over the unprotected borders, are mainly poor Venezuelans, Bolivians, and Haitians, so I fail to see what they have to offer....but, if legal immmigration opened for qualified professionals, it would be a different story. So as it is, Brazil still has a big reserve of unoccupied Brazilians to attend the work market. It's just a matter of getting them off their arses and making them work.

    Ola Briton -

I was there last month, and there is no talk about leaving the USA.

However there was talk about a split between Northern California and Southern California. Nothing serious, only talk.

Even that would take congressional approval to add another state to the union.....and not a simple majority.
