The Israeli government has said that the investigation into the Israel Embassy bombing of 1992 is responsibility of the Argentine State, following President Cristina Fernandez comments on the matter during her address to Congress.

The Argentine president had wondered on Sunday why Israel demands justice over the AMIA Jewish center bombing of 1994 but does not call for justice in the Embassy case, in which 29 people were killed.

On Tuesday the Israeli Embassy in Buenos Aires issued a press release arguing that “as international treaties state, the safety of all diplomatic delegations is responsibility of the recipient country. It is the Argentine responsibility to investigate the attack perpetrated against the Israel Embassy in Buenos Aires.”

On Sunday, CFK had also stated she will summon former Israeli ambassador to Argentina Itzjak Aviran for questioning.

“During the last 23 years, Israel has supported the continuity of actions aimed at taking the responsible to trial. That goal undoubtedly expresses the will of both nations,” the statement by the Israeli Embassy reads.

Later in the day Foreign Minister Hector Timerman said the responsibility of investigating the Israel Embassy bombing that left 29 people killed in 1992 belongs to the Supreme Court.

Timerman’s words follow a comment released by the Israeli Embassy in Buenos Aires, which urged the Argentine government to continue investigating the attack while indicating the Argentine State is responsible for the probe.

Timerman highlighted Israel’s will to “continue the investigation into the attacks against the Embassy and AMIA [Jewish community center]” and pointed out it is, according to Argentine Constitution, the Supreme Court’s responsibility to investigate the Embassy case, and the Justice system’s responsibility to look into the AMIA bombing.

“On Sunday, CFK had also stated she will summon former Israeli ambassador to Argentina Itzjak Aviran for questioning.”
It would've been useful to publish the context in which CFK said that.
Aviran has implied that Israeli agents have eliminated most of the terrorists responsible for the 1994 attack against the AMIA building. ”Those who perpetrated the terror attack against the AMIA building have been dispatched to the other world. We (Israel) did that!,” he said.
Argentina believes Aviran should provide any information he possesses to help with the investigation.

TMBOA proves, yet again, she has no clue how to run a piss-up in a brewery.

Given that, how does she expect to run what used to be a great country, albeit before Peron.
