No surprise there. So why should anyone think Argentine citizens anywhere have rights?
Mar 18th, 2015 - 09:29 am - Link - Report abuse 0What the hell, ,maybe this will lead to a worldwide renaissance of intolerance where nightriding becomes a feature of local culture supported by the UN. How quaint, and, dare I say it, I can't wait. ;)

Last year, Salvioli in an interview with the Buenos Aires Herald praised Argentina’s human rights policy.
Mar 18th, 2015 - 12:46 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Who's going to tell us about the rights of argieland's indigenous people? Their land occupied by hispanic latinos. 'Banished' to land no-one else wants, temporarily. Regularly murdered by anyone, including police, who fancy it. More land stolen when a 'need' is identified. Where's the health care? At least it's only a year. How long before someone intelligent objects?
Now, now: The UN system is upside down, is it not??

Bad news keep piling up for those who portrait the CFK government as inefficient, corrupt and more recently enthusiastically added suspected murderer.
Mar 18th, 2015 - 05:35 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Cristina keeps working hard and announces successful negotiations leading to measures benefiting small agricultural producers; two Argentine jurists head to key international human right positions; and today's revelations show unexpected ramifications of the Nisman affair.
One almost feel sorry for these intrepid analysts who had already everything figured out about Argentina's political future.
8. Yeah Uganda sits on that Committee too and they allow Homosexuals to be killed.
Mar 18th, 2015 - 05:44 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Go figure
I wish the USA would pull the UN funding and revoke all the visas. All those scumbags in NYC are bad for the city.
@8. Can I explain to you about CFK's 'government', argie 'jurists' and the matter of Nisman isn't an 'affair'. The explanation is one I can sum up in one word. Shit. Can't even live where you should. In the shit.

Mar 19th, 2015 - 01:28 am - Link - Report abuse 0So are you saying that 'two Argentine jurists ' are members of Cristina's govt?
Are you getting confused? Or is it that you don't believe in 'the seperation of powers', just like Cristina?

No it's not and April fools' joke--it's serious, my friend.
FYI, Argentina has made big strides prosecuting the crimes of the state terrorism since Nestor--with all legal guarantees, mind you--becoming an example to the world. In contrast, the crimes of the franquismo in Spain are yet to be solved.

Will then,
Mar 19th, 2015 - 11:16 am - Link - Report abuse 0in the future Argentina guarantee the human rights of the Falkland islanders,
and openly support their right to live in peace without threat of hindrance,

Mar 19th, 2015 - 11:57 am - Link - Report abuse 0 All states that are signatories to the agreement must submit regular reports to the committee on how rights are being broadened in their country.
Mar 20th, 2015 - 05:42 am - Link - Report abuse 0I hope the UK is sending reports to this committee how more constitutional powers and rights in the Falklands have been transferred to the locals since 1982.
No doubt he will now be giving Argentinas friends and supporters in Syria, Iran and North Korea a clean bill of health for human rights.
Mar 20th, 2015 - 11:14 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Why do Argentina bother it is clear that judges and lawyers that don't follow the government line in Argentina and ask difficult questions poison their career. How corrupt must he be to earn this honour.
And one wonders why the UN is less and less respected.
