This will be good for the second and third decades of production, by which time the Sovereign Wealth Fund should be reasonably healthy and all the roads surfaced.

Now don't bash the Trolls, too easy a target, LOL.

Just think with all this recoverable oil and gas, someone is going to make a fortune.

Oh yes that someone being the Falkland Islanders themselves.

To THINK, if Argentina had not illegally invaded, or post invasion had not continued to harass and bully the People of the Falkland Islands they could have shared some of this wealth.

So many millions of reasons why the Falklands will have a strong Defense and reap the reward of a strong democracy.

It's always good to see the trolls having it stuck in them. No comments about what should be stuck in them, please. I understand that, after an initial gush, the sound effects are “Gloop, gloop, gloop”. Or “dollars, dollars, dollars”. Meanwhile, in an impoverished country not far enough to the west, someone still trying to convince others that a 'peso' is money. But it actually translates as 'burden'!

all this fuss because an unknown company says they found a cesspit with 230 million barrels?
the important thing here, you inhabitants of the islets, are the PROVEN RESERVES.
and as the whole fucking world knows, you have 0 (ZERO) proven reserves of gas, oil, etc.

now, take a look at the biggest natural gas PROVEN RESERVES:
    #1 Russia: 48,700,000,000,000 M3
    #34 Argentina: 430,000,000,000 M3.

as the whole fucking world knows, the only thing you have in abundance is guano and sheep droppings.

understand know, dear naive inhabitants of the islets?

#34? #10? Err.. I thought Argieland was 134th or something?...or was that the world corruption index? Having fantastic natural resources like all that black gold and the worlds 5th largest land mass, why is it that Argieland is a failed nation with rampant corruption, a failed depreciating currency, a massive crimewave, basketcase public services and all living in tin shacks with cardboard walls? Meanwhile the Falkland Isleters have to make do with just one policeman, a strong currency, nice housing and an income per head 3 times that of an Argentinian?

Anyway, we already know that everything sucks in Argieland and you cannot believe a single word uttered by an Argie, so sorry little Pauly - fail!!!

as you can see, thinking is not your strong point.

    @ 13 POLLY

It's no gopod crowing how much TDC has in proven reserves for the simple fact you can't afford to get it out of the ground.

Ever since TMBOA fucked YPF over you have not got ANY new sizable wells online.

Lots of promises but they turned out to be just as disappointing as the size of your dick for your girlfriends after you had boasted it was six inches and it was really six centimetres!

    Yaboo sucks to you!

Something is apparently going on with FOGL as well. Hopes are rising that there has been a very large oil discovery. Fingers crossed.

Paulnabo, and we can all see that figuring things out isn't one of yours! Come on, don't be shy, tell us why your huge resource rich country is such a corrupt shithole? Whereas the Islets, as you term them, are a wealthy haven of peace? Please explain?

“230 million barrels”at the very least guarantees self-sufficeny in energy for the forceable future. With no debts and with her residents enjoying a higher income than any of her continental neighbours.
“in abundance is guano” well there's another gold-mine, ask Chile they've made a fortune exporting theirs. Incidentally, apparently the Brits have an expression “Where there's muck there's money”.

@10. What is it about your level of comprehension? The Darwin discovery has been re-defined as 360 million barrels. The near-field estimates add 1,172 million barrels. Taking the total to 1,532 million barrels. 243.6 million cubic metres. But what does it matter? It's not as though argieland created proven reserves. They just happen to be there.
@13. Shame about your data. I see that they aren't all from the same year. Try this one. http://world.bymap.org/NaturalGasReserves.html And argieland is at #38.
@21. Except that there are about 64 million people saying “No, it isn't.”

One would think that with Arg huge “proven” reserves of Nat Gas they wouldn't be importing so much and making their businesses stop/reduce production when it gets cold outside.

    Stupid Rgs will never learn.
