Argentina's opposition Radical Party (UCR) seized back Mendoza province (one of the country's five main electoral districts) after their Cambia Mendoza alliance, led by Alfredo Cornejo, defeated the Victory Front (FpV)’s Adolfo Bermejo, and had 48% of the vote at press time, 10 points more than the Peronist hopeful. Bermejo is a close ally of President Cristina Fernández. Read full article

Ah! Just like Uruguay I see where many little parties have to come together under the Broad Fraud to win.

What a mistake to maka, if the result is another dead head like 'No Money Pepe'!

Its about time. As for the current fpv governor, who la cretina ignored when she was here a few weeks ago, he was stabbed in the back by her many times just like Scioli. He didn't get the money he needed either. They keep running to her skirts...wonder what she has on them? Maybe the rest of the country will decide that it is time for a change.

Its OK but its not good enough, the Ks have only lost 3% of the vote they had 4 years ago in Mendoza.

--Bermejo conceded defeat early, before the results from any polling stations had been declared. “I assume total responsibility; I have no one to blame for the result, not even my ticket partner. We have given our best and will keep working.” --

I am genuinely shocked by the humility shown here. Unusual in Argentina even more so by a politician.

#5 Servility? At least we change governments every couple of years just so they know we are the boss and we are watching them. We don't talk about politics 24-7 like you do here. And don't forget...in a democracy it is not only your right but it is also your obligation to criticize the government. Just so they know. You have a vice president charged with crimes against the country and he is still sitting there laughing at you. Wake up!!

You didn't answer my questions, why would we go the route of slavery to the EU and North America, where did that get us in the past?

It's Mendoza. That's all you need to know, but you wouldn't understand. Only people familiar with Argentina would, and those kind of people don't exist in this website in the commentary section.

Funny because that is the country everyone talks the most about here. You can see the irony.

Poor Idiot Child Toby writes. “Only people familiar with Argentina”

Tobias doesn't even recognize one of the 4 best known streets in Mendoza. One wonders if he has ever visited the town after the age of two.
