    THey can raise interest rates all they want but until they stop the free money to slum dweller programs and all the other nutty cash back programs they'll never get inflation in check.

    Fun to watch

    Of course it was, they have been through this nonsense before and it didn't work then and it will not work now.

    I see Brainless is living up to the nick I gave him.

    DumbAss is shit scared the auto companies are going to shut up shop and mothball things until somebody with a brain is running the economy and they are free from stupid moves by Tromboney.

    So how does anyone in Brazil buy a car when they haven't got all the cash and need a loan? They won't with these rates. It's chicken and the egg DumbAss (and Brainless)!

    I think Brainless is related by blood to Brasso. You can't put a cigarette paper between the pair of them regarding how bat-shit-stupid they are.

    Come on hot-shot why don't prove to us where on any thread that you have won an issue. The truth is, you've lost completely every debate, so much so, that I refer to you as the Zombie, as I've buried you so often. In fact you are permanently consigned to the corner and reduced to mere name-calling. I don't need the permission of a loser to a respond to a post that invokes my name.

    Doesn't affect me in the slightest, other than better remuneration on financial investment, just keeping ahead of inflation. And, the positive contribution is that all this mess is starting to show the Brazilians who voted for the PT, what a mistake they made. Can't say I feel sorry for them, they are reaping what they sewed.

    13 Jack Bauer
    “all this mess is starting to show the Brazilians who voted for the PT, what a mistake they made.” Seems like a rather simplistic political interpretation of a lot more complex issue.
    ”As the government loosened fiscal policy, the Central Bank prematurely slashed its benchmark interest rate in 2011-12. This pushed up inflation, which is now above the bank’s self-imposed upper limit of 6.5%, and way above its 4.5% target. ..Red tape, poor infrastructure and a strong currency have rendered much of industry uncompetitive. So consumers have been the main source of demand. A low unemployment rate pushed up wages. In the past ten years wages in the private sector have grown faster than GDP (public-sector workers have done even better). That allowed consumers to borrow more, which encouraged still more spending. Now the virtuous circle is turning vicious. Real wages have been falling since March, compared to a year earlier, mainly because Brazilian workers’ productivity never justified the earlier rises. People are returning to seek work just as there are fewer jobs to go around: unemployment, which has long been falling and dipped below 5% for most of 2014, increased to 6.4% in April. Economists expect it to reach 8% this year.
    To improve its finances the government is cutting spending on unemployment insurance (which had risen even when the jobless rate was falling) and on other benefits. Taxes, including fuel duty, are going up. So, too, are bills for water and electricity (two-thirds of which is generated by hydropower). The point is to reduce demand following a record drought in 2014 and to correct a policy of holding down regulated prices to keep inflation in check (and voters happy). Because of these increases, inflation soared to 8.2% in the year to April.”

First, I 've always expressed MY opinions, not other people's, and based on reality not fantasy, instead of taking the convenient stance of “liberals”, who think that the game has to be played according to their rules, even if it has nothing to do with them. The only rules I try to follow are the dictates of philosophical-logic, which you reject out-of-hand. You have also expressed a preference for a dictatorship over democracy, and spurn the rule of law. So you, as a thoroughly discredited person, are in no position to criticize anyone else.
    Here educate yourself as you do appear to have any ethics in in your background.
    I. FAIR PLAY – WHERE DOES IT COME FROM? WHAT IS IT?
    • never attack an unarmed enemy;
    • demonstrate self-discipline;
    • be courageous in word and deed;
    • avenge the offended; defend the weak and the innocent;
    • never abandon a friend, an ally or a noble cause;
    • keep your word, and remain true to your principles;
    • have good manners, apply the laws of propriety, respect your host, authority
    and women;
    • be faithful to God, the sovereign, his kingdom and his code; show respect
    towards authority and the law;
    • be generous and hospitable to strangers;
    • avoid pride, lechery, false oaths and treachery.

    First of all, I have never said that I prefer dictatorships over democracy. What I have said though, and which you have obviously misunderstood, is that I believe the Military Regime did Brazil a favour by preventing the commies from taking over, in 1964....I, like most, looked forward to the return to civilian rule in 1985, with the hope that Brazil might become a truly democratic society, progress and reward honest work, but unfortunately , after the FHC presidencies, the PT turned Brazil in to it's own feud, to do with it as it pleased ; their 'project' to establish themselves perpetually in power, and rule as the only Party has long been out in the open .....don't bother asking for 'proof', because the Supreme Court has done it's job - although a bit too leniently for my taste - when it condemned the 'mensaleiros' ; With regards to the “Lava-Jato” investigation, the sentences that are being handed out are further proof of the rot inside the PT government. Evidence is surfacing everyday, I'm glad the Law is being enforced and I have my opinions based on what I see.
    I suppose you do not. It would not be 'fair-play' with the PT and their corrupt associates, would it ?
    Last but not least, 'your 'assertions' are based on 'your' perception, not proof, and while you have the right to express your opinion, you appear unable to disguise the importance you attribute to yourself. But as I said, and I reconfirm, you are the one who likes to control everything with rules, 'your' set of rules of course, which doesn't seem to have anything in common with those you've listed above....if you really believe them, act accordingly.

    But quite frankly, I'm not intersted in, nor could I care less what 'you' think..
