Yes Paulie, lesser oil and gas activity by an amount that had created an EXTRA GDP equivalent to £20,000 (or US$ 30,000, or pesos 300,000) per person living in the islands. Activity that then fell off for a year or two but is now back in full swing, and successfully discovering new oil reserves.

@2 When are arriving in the Falklands Pauly retard? You said you would be here in a couple of months.... about 6 months ago. Are you getting a second mortgage on your tin shanty house? Or are you waiting on funding and orders from your Peronist masters?

@2 cara de dos ortos podridos.

Idiot child - are you aware that posting using the upper case is considered to be really bad manners in the cyber world. Therefore, in this case you have really shown yourself for what you are - an ignorant pelotudo!

You contribute nothing to these columns - why don't you just disappear?

Argentina's GDP has been dropping but won't see Paul shouting about that.

    Gotta love Peronists. So stupid.

I suspect that some of the trolls are paid by the number of replies their posts elicit. No replies, no money: they do go away. I therefore suggest you ignore two-rotten-arseholes-face and the others.

Dear Paulie - have you clamed down a we bit yet? my lord you did get a bit excitable there!
Oil & Gas Activity- It is called the Exploration Phase! Now we had that in 2011 as you can see from the increase - now we have it again in 2015.

In 2011 one commercial field was discovered and marked out, 2 other possible positive strikes were made.

Now in 2015 we have had 2 drills- both confirmed positive strikes and 4 more to go.

But as you will see if you look at the figures - we do not actually need nor depend on the potential of Oil or gas for out future - would be nice - but we can manage without.

    @2 Paul

The Falklands are not in debt like Argentina though are they?

It is obvious by your stupid comments that you are firmly addicted to that CT scanner frying your brain.

Paulie! Hello there! Well done! Awesome post and everything!!
The Falkland Islands do actually have a GDP! With a surplus!
Tell us, O Wise One! What is Argentina's GDP? While you're about it, why not tell us about inflation as well? The Falkland Islands don't have inflation either! Or unemployment! Or poverty!
No, we don't want to be an Argentine colony, thank you very much!!
    Up yours, you nutter!

    dear PeDo

@14: Ah Paulie, bless your cotton socks! We must have an economy, why else would Argentina want us to become part of their glorious toilet-flushing economy? If we didn't have an economy, we wouldn't have a Gross Domestic Product, would we? You dick.
If it's such a “toy society”, why do you get so excited about us? You really ought to spend more time fixing your own society. Our islands certainly don't stink as much as most of the things you bang on about when you USE CAPSLOCK TO DESCRIBE all the good things in Argentina? Your economy stinks. Your “politicians” stink. Your whole ideology stinks. Your towns stink. Your rivers stink. Your culture stinks.
If you think our islands stink, why don't you piss off somewhere that doesn't offend you? You really are a tool of the first order.
What's your IQ, shit for brains?
Answer the questions I gave you.
    1. What is Argentina's GDP?
    2. What is the inflation rate in Argentina?
    3. What is your unemployment rate?
    4. How many live in poverty, in Argentina?
    5. If the Falkland Islands stink so much, why do you want them?

We all know you're not very clever, so I have typed this very slowly, so that you can keep up.
    Cheery-bye, Paulie of Cock's County.
