Someone in the Spanish parliament with common sense?
What is the world coming to?
Well they only have to look where years of insults and obstructions have got Argentina, absolutely nowhere.
Aug 21st, 2015 - 09:33 am - Link - Report abuse 0On the basis that neither country plans to go to war with us over these territories, 'because they would lose' and on the basis that neither country intends to take us to court, 'because they would lose', they will soon have to accept our way of thinking and talk to the people living there, not us.
I'm sure we all recall Margallo flying to argieland for a chat with Timerman. Shows the level of intelligence that he would consult with someone who is a past master at looking stupid.
Aug 21st, 2015 - 10:09 am - Link - Report abuse 0Good question.

Spain is the arse end of Europe, with a split up the middle for the oppression,
Aug 21st, 2015 - 06:56 pm - Link - Report abuse 0they to are a failed government state living in the past,
And just like Argentina are two peas in the same rotten pod.
the sooner the UK gets of this gravy train and stand up to these fools the better
the only dialogue that you can have to those apes is to close the gate.
Aug 21st, 2015 - 09:38 pm - Link - Report abuse 0they are the typical english colony, that is, a tax haven, money launderer, smugglers paradise and a nest of pirates.

Aug 21st, 2015 - 10:22 pm - Link - Report abuse 0See what happens.
2 - you're just a little bit overconfident if you think Spain would lose on home ground.
Aug 21st, 2015 - 10:38 pm - Link - Report abuse 0and yes, i know, i know, 'we'll nuke them' .... but thats kind of hard when 30,000 Brits are holed up in a convenient massacre-able pocket.
Please try to invade Spain. and as Skip says see what happens.
Britain invading Spain is as likely as Gibraltar becoming part of Spain.
Aug 22nd, 2015 - 11:27 am - Link - Report abuse 0Spain could have, at any time invade Gibraltar,
Aug 22nd, 2015 - 06:35 pm - Link - Report abuse 0they could cross the boarder in the morning, ships in the harbour and helicopters landing troops,
What stops them,????????????????????????????????????
no excuses,,what's stopping them,????????
on the other hand, an immature childish nation, only playing the part of being Manley, will just harass and abuse its innocent peaceful unarms neighbour,
Spain /Argentina/two peas in the same rotten pod.......
*13 whats stopping them
Aug 22nd, 2015 - 08:48 pm - Link - Report abuse 0well first both nations belong to the EU
secondly both nations belong to NATO
thirdly The UK and Spain get on like a house on fire.
fourth Both Monarchies are related.
fifth bilateral trade is worth 35 billion
sixth Spain has gone from bankrupt to the fastest growing economy in
Europe........
not bad,hey??!!
Pretty legit comment, though Ireland is growing twice as fast as Spain, so they roared out of their recession much better.
Aug 22nd, 2015 - 11:15 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Anyway, Spain isn't going to invade Gibraltar.
The UK isn't going to invade Spain.
And Gibraltar will happily continue as a BOT and not wish to be part of Spain.
Spain can't change that militarily. Nor economically. Nor socially.
@6
Aug 23rd, 2015 - 01:29 am - Link - Report abuse 0is the equivalent of Jeremy Corbyn in the uk!! A WASTE OF SPACE!!
Not according to Argentina-he wants to sell the Islanders out to Argentina.
15 - that should be 'unhappily continue ... ' they're always whinging about how Spain wrongs them.
Aug 23rd, 2015 - 04:34 am - Link - Report abuse 0Spain CAN change that militarily. But obviously its not really worth it.
And economically, but again, not worth it.
Socially, the next generation of inhabitants have nowhere locally left to go/grow into, other than LaLinea/Andalucia. Should be interesting.
16 - Like pre-tabloid jingoism UK politicians of days past, men who didn't have to compete with 'the sun' and its fanboy armchair generals*.
(granted Argentina's own stupid error in bringing that about)
But rather had the opportunity to go forward purely on common sense and perspective.

Anybody who undermines corbyn is a fool,
Aug 23rd, 2015 - 06:52 pm - Link - Report abuse 0never believe that the unbelievable wont happen,
in a nice economy and a decent stable government it would never happen,
corbyn may well be the next leader of labour, not because he is anything other than true to his belief's, but he will never change,
he has not for the past 30 years, and wont do it now,
the people are just fed up, fizzed of and disillusioned with the likes of labour/brown, Blair, and rest of the useless band of fools,
rightly or wrongly corbyn may well be elected, and the impossible becomes possible,
Stage 2,
will labour ever get elected to power,
will that impossibility ever become a reality,?????
that depends entirely on the voters, and if this country does not get out of this mess , and austerity comes to an end,
the pissed of voters may well dump the Conns,
then that really leaves the voters with a simple choice,
UKIP or Labour,
the future is in our hands, lets hope we vote rightly,
as for the Anties, well sod em, they have no influence what so ever, but to stand or sit at the keyboard and insult....
just my opinion.
