The alleged fortune of María Gabriela Chávez, daughter of the late Hugo Chávez, has recently stirred up controversy in Venezuela. Critics have pointed to a supposed inconsistency: how can one support the so-called Bolivarian Revolution while enjoying such enormous riches? However, the premise of this critique is flawed, because it assumes that Chavismo emerged to uphold rights and equality.

Ilsen, if my presumption that the critics you mention, are those who defend her, by pointing to the 'supposed' inconsistency between supporting the revolution , while at the same time enjoying stolen wealth, is correct, they are just practising what the Bolivarian revolution is all about : just a front to fool the people while you steal and spread the wealth in the right places, in order to try to gain perpetual power. The sheeple are just the means towards an end. This exactly what Lulla has tried to do in Brazil. Throw crumbs to the people while stealing billions. No wonder his best friends were Chavez and Fidel .
