President Cristina Fernández called on Brazil’s former president Lula da Silva to become Argentina’s “ambassador” to help it join the group of emerging countries known as BRICS, acronym for Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. Lula is currently campaigning in support of incumbent presidential candidate Daniel Scioli, and the so called 'Kirchner' model that 'transformed Argentina'. Read full article

Why call it BRICSA? Surely it's BRICSA already? What with South Africa. What's wrong with BICARS? A little pen getting shoved up an orifice. Even better with Ecuador. It's good to see Kirchner admitting where she stands. Brazil full of corruption, criminality and murder. Russia full of corruption, criminality, murder and war crimes. India full of corruption, criminality and inhumanity. Same goes for China. Pity about South Africa. Could have been good except for Zuma. When will North Korea join? And Iran? Argieland should be right at home amongst the shyte of the world.

Just as the Brazilian credit rating has been downgraded Argentina wants to join BRICSA - does that mean further downgrading is in sight?

Lula, and by extension, the K's, will save Argentina and bring them back from the brink.

    Sure.

These two dirtbags are more than welcome to each other with their fiefdoms getting worse and worse, their economies are nearly keeling over, and their legacy will be remembered as failed (and corrupt) governments.

Maybe Arg is just looking for more gullible trading partners? Or even more perhaps, looking for potential credit lenders who wouldn't be able to say no for political reasons.

As @1 said, BRIC was a trademark to sell bonds. It has been manipulated out of its original purpose. In future it will be synonymous with wannabe economies that never manage to emerge.

@11 Your 'new world' seems decidedly like a failed world. Good luck.

    I just love the photographs!

Lula looks enchanted to the point of climax just looking at TMBOA whilst him holding Scioli's hand is just too “precious”. :o)

Pity nothing of any use will come out of all this as far as the Argentines are concerned.

How does CFK intend paying Lulla to be this so-called 'ambassador' ? Argieland has no money, so it must be in blow-jobs. Lulla, get your noodle ready, and ask CFK to remove her false teeth...it gives a 'gummier' sensation, besides not running the risk of having it bitten off.....I'd be wary, with all this hunger going on in Argieland...

I try to advise to users of this site that analyse CFK speeches is a waste of time.

Her goal , about her without sense speeches, is to have an eternal exposure to her votants that always applaud as if they were seals or dolphins.

Perhaps tomorrow she will say that is Joan of Ark , or Wonder Woman , it doesn t matter the only goal is to get more exposure.

    So , due to, I m a good person I advise you

Indeed Argentina is a perfect fits for BRICS:

B is for Brazil - who are in recession
R is for Russia - who is also in recession
I is for India - who recalculated their GDP recently are now growing fast.... supposedly
C is for China - who magically meet their growth target every quarter no matter what other statistics show
S is for South Africa - they didn't grow on the last quarter either.

B is for Brazil - who are suffering their biggest corruption scandal ever
R is for Russia - who invaded a neighbouring country
I is for India - that has a space program but where 700 million people don't have access to a toilet
C is for China - where the stock market won't obey commands and stop falling
S is for South Africa - where crime is so rampant that it actually lowers economic growth.

Yep! I think Brasileiro is right. Argentina will fit right in with its negative growth, corruption and crime.

    Great comeback!

Oh, by the way, Australia is about to sign our free trade deal with China.

All the benefits of China without even needing to be part of BRICS and their deadbeat hanger-ons like Argentina.

Guess that is why you are in recession and we aren't.

@21, exactly what I was going to point out.

Brazil's economy is in a downward spiral, Russia's is fucked, China's is basically doing an impression of a freight train chugging face first into a really big wall.

As “the power bloc of the future”, it's a pretty sad state of affairs. Suits Argentina perfectly

To join the civilised community, you have to be respected, which Argentina most certainly is not. The rule of law counts for nothing in the world of illusion and delusion that swirls around Argentina, undermining its economy, industry, trade and banking. Just look at the latest figures to show the mess Corruptina Kirchner has created. Chile is ranked 41 on the World Bank's 2015 Ease of Doing business Index, while Argentina came in at 124, alongside countries like Mozambique and Guyana. Well done, Corruptina, but of course you'll carry on stealing millions from the people. How much are you worth, Corruptina? It's time we were told. Never mind, carry on begging to join the BRICS, another of your vanity projects.

@14. I thought he was on his knees. Waiting for the argie canal to open.
@20. Don't bother. We were there long before you.
@21. Perhaps argieland could persuade (force) Uruguay to join as well. Then it could be renamed as SCRUBAI.
