According to Argentina's stats office Indec, consumer prices during the month of August climbed 1.2% over July, 9.4% in the eight months and 14.7% in the last twelve months. These numbers however are quite different from private consultants' estimates and the City of Buenos Aires stats office: 2.17% and 1.8% inflation for August, respectively. Read full article

Why INDEC even bother's posting the numbers, no one believes them.
Maybe Brasshole, but not even the Kampora clowns are duped by those lying rats.

If you look at this as political propaganda for the coming elections it makes more sense. No need to bother with actual facts since the voters are too gullible to question any of it anyway.

But even the unofficial stats show the inflation rates standing still or even decreasing slightly. That can only mean that the economic activity is slowing down faster than the Arg government can print and pump pesos into the economy.

Argentina's “official” statistics are fairytales which no one outside Argentina gives any attention to. In its latest report, the IMF warns that Argentina’s economy will remain stagnant for years. It says: “The economy is growing at a very low rate, with an industrial and manufacturing sector that is almost paralysed. Private investment has also been very weak. The balance of payments is going through a delicate situation.”
It goes on to warn that Argentina faces “multiple risks” because of the steady decline in commodity prices.
No wonder thousands of young Argentines are fleeing their country and look with envy at the Falkland Islands’ booming economy.

Funny you talk about INDEC propaganda, yet you want us to believe the IMF and international propaganda about Argentina.

You foreigners are just as lying mealy-mouthed thieves as anyone else. Why would I believe a single word that comes out of you or any foreign fiend's mouth?

I think you're right, Christine LaGarde is a corrupt crook too.

How do you think things are really looking economically for Argentina in the near future?

For many years lots of us have been observing events in Argentina, specifically the machinations of its various governments, regimes and dictatorships, and we have come to the conclusion that it is a country which flounders in a cesspit of lies.
President Corruptina Kirchner cannot open her twisted lips without lying, whether it’s about Nisman's “suicide”, the Falklands, Argentina’s soaring inflation, starving families in her Third World country, the living standards “higher than Germany”, the massive defaults, the billions in unpaid debts. Truly you could not make it up.
Argentina’s people can rest assured, though, that the rest of the world recognises the Kirchner regime for what it is: failed, corrupt, bankrupt.

I have always said Argentina is done for. We had a good century from about 860 to about 1940, maybe can push it to 1960. We have few resources, and the population refuses to educate itself. So no resources, no educated work force for high-end products... so then what?

All countries rise and fall. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS, take that message as you may interpret it. It is a fact of life though.

Otherwise we would all still be hailing Caesar.

Not one should be surprised that islanders hate Argentina--that can be understood because not one of them likes the Republic's sovereignty claim.
Now, for islanders to pretend they are keen observers criticizing what they dub Argentine politicians' bad actions, that's a stretch. Your judgement is biased and clouded by arrogance (Nothing like that will ever happen to us because we are sooo much better tan them).
“No wonder thousands of young Argentines are fleeing their country and look with envy at the Falkland Islands’ booming economy,” you noted at #3.
Come on Ezekiel. You know that is not true by any stretch of the imagination.
You probably realize the islanders are a small group of people living in a very special situation. Nobody really pays much attention to you, which if I were at your place I would consider it a good thing.
You know well that the hateful expressions and childish insults that are now directed to Cristina, Axel and Anibal will tomorrow be directed to whoever becomes head of the state, and the next and the next.
Why bother? Just disclose you will hate ANY Argentine government unless it resigned the claim over the Islas Malvinas (very, very unlikely).
Be sincere at least once and state your contempt for Argentina as a whole: country, population, governments, present and past history and whatever else you fancy.
That would be a step on the right direction because discussions then would be more focused.

Sayeth the wise words of Nostrils.

What he is missing is that there is ALWAYS a reason for any decline.

When he finally faces up to the reason for the decline he might realise just how deficient his own education really was.
