Now this stunt tomtry tomshow thay you are not what you are: UK citizens occupying someone else's land under “open” migration laws with a bunch of (volunteering?) immigrants! Look what I found https://factsandfictionsofmalvinasislands.wordpress.com/2015/09/29/fact-no-2-the-british-government-designed-britishness-of-the-place/

    Alejo, your link claims the following;

“Argentines from the mainland are not allowed to reside or own property in the islands thus preserving the fabricated “Britishness” of the place.”

I am sorry to inform you, but there are Argentine nationals living in the Falklands. In fact, they now can call themselves Falkland Islanders as they have Falkland Islands Status. They also own property and can vote in our elections. They probably even voted in our referendum.

@1. You're still not very good at this, are you? I don't need to respond to your “find”, do I? Either you know the truth or you're thick.

    Haven't you tried https://factsandfictionsofmalvinasislands.wordpress.com/ before?

It's all fiction. Just as an example, how come the argie National Archives show no trace of the pirate David Jewett being sent to the Falkland Islands? However, they do show Jewett being issued “letters of marque” before he set out on his piracy. Wherein he was authorised to attack spanish vessels and no more. What a pity that, in his greed, he attacked a Portuguese vessel. How fortunate for him that he didn't meet a Royal Navy vessel following that heinous and illegal act. He would probably have been hanged!

1 - For your information- FACT:

The Work Permit and Medical certification for Immigration into the Islands on a work permit as 100% the same - be you Argentine-British-Chilean-Filipino-USA- Australia - etc etc.
    Got it?

Work Permits current valid for 2 years - then renewable subject to your employer advertising the job locally first - same as he has to before a permit is issued anyway.

After 5yrs or so you can apply for Permanent Residence Permit- if granted you no longer need a work permit and are able to live here permanently, own property etc etc.

On a Work permit you can only buy property with legal permission, but even owing it still does not give you the right to live here - until you qualify for PRP status as above. You also I am sure then go on the electoral role.

Same rules for all nationals - we are not racist.

@1 Alejomartinez - I believe the author of the outrageous link is one Marcos Ruda, nephew of the equally outrageous Argentine José María Ruda whose false declarations to the Sub Committee III of the UN on 9th September 1964 started the whole “malvinista” myth. Please see “http://www.falklandshistory.com/historia-falsa.pdf”.

This link clearly and factually refutes the whole presentation of the Ruda myths, lies and fairy tales which are repeated by Marcos Ruda in your link.

    Saludos.

Everyone in the United Kingdom hopes the islanders thoroughly enjoyed their celebration of cultural diversity. We are sure it was a great success.
Perhaps the Falklands could offer to organise a similar event in Argentina.
    Wait a minute, though.
While in Brazil I was struck by the willingness of Argentine tourists to tell anyone and everyone about how superior Argentina was to Brazil and the factor they were most ready to brag about was “We don’t have any blacks”.
How appalling that people can be proud of their racism but this helps explain why Argentines are the lepers of Latin America. There are other reasons, such as Argentina’s illegal restrictions on imports from its Latin American neighbours, its government’s refusal to pay debts, its record defaults and its fascism, but the racist delight of its nationals undoubtedly counts most.
So, on reflection, cultural diversity is not a concept that suits a racist, fascist regime. Leave Argentines to wallow in their poison and bile. Eventually they will dissolve away.

Visit this to see the real facts. UK uselessly strives to build up a “society” that now it claims to be multicultural. Don´t forget that islanders are British under a designed policy to keep their Britishness even though it is only now that they try to show its citizens as someone different!

The Falklands has a booming economy, a growing budget surplus, virtually full employment and hardly any inflation. Compare with the catastrophe that is Argentina.
So much for Argentina’s cowardly campaign to destroy the islands. It has failed. Yet another humiliating defeat for Corruptina Kirchner.
And as you like articles, read this, a brilliant analysis of Argentina the failed state and its criminal leader:

    And this:

    ¡Tocayo! Buenos días.

More of the lies from Ruda. Any person with a real perception of the matter of the Falklands/Malvinas will realise these allegations are just fairy tales and lies.
AlejoMartinez is just a troll - don't take any noteice of him!

While we're on the subject of the Falklands' wonderful cultural diversity, here in England we have enjoyed welcoming supporters from across the globe for the Rugby World Cup. That includes Argentines who have been greeted with friendship and courtesy. Nowhere have they found animosity, nowhere have they been insulted by gangs chanting “Falklands, Falklands”. Imagine, though, if this event took place in Argentina. No doubt Corruptina Kirchner would order banners about the Falklands to be displayed at every stadium and English fans would certainly have to watch their backs, in case some cowardly Argentine thugs tried to knife them.
The people of England are proud of the polite, respectful way we have treated Argentina's supporters. We have shown Kirchner how civilised people behave.

The British brought in British settlers, not really a huge surprise there is there, the part of “persists to this day” is either a lack of fact checking or just an outright lie.

“Don´t forget that islanders are British under a designed policy to keep their Britishness even though it is only now that they try to show its citizens as someone different!”

Vernet's settlers allowed to stay in 1833 were mostly from the United Provinces, (including Rivero), with Uruguayan Indians, Germans, French Irish, Jamaican and I believe Scots .

The majority were from South America, who preferred to live in the Islands under British sovereignty rather than return to the United Provinces.

Brisbane(a Scot who worked for Vernet, not for the British government ) and an Englishman Thomas Helsby came over later in 1833.

They were not sent by the British government.

Where does your argument stand up there?

So your statement rails to explain why the Gaucho Antonina Roxa (who stayed in 1833) ended up buying a ranch near Stanley?

Was she implanted by Britain from.............. South America?

You forget that in the 1800s Lafone bought in 150 South Americans and several nationalities including Scandinavians settled in the Islands, including shipwrecked sailors.

Are you claiming that these non British settlers were in fact sent by the British government, all l the way from Britain, then artificially shipwrecked?

Ar e you claiming Lafone's gauchos were implanted by Britain in a secret plot with Lafone, from............South Americas?

Most of the few British artificially sent down to the Islands by the British Government to settle, didn't stay.

Most British settlers emigrated to the Falkland Islands from choice. In fact many British emigrated to Argentina by choice.
